  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

oh but they can think about it..I know some of us are probably new and weaker, but...just think about God for a moment. He's God, the atheist is not. So what do they know?? lol.

Most Christians can't even accept the authority of Scripture, so by extension they undermine the authority of God.

It isn't surprising, really.

Patrick i dont get your comments you seem to be constantly implying that crhistians dont read the bible and have no faith. Actually i find that quite insulting.

Do you know the definition of what a christian is??? Its not just someone who goes to church.

Christians, humans, aren't perfect. And it is true, they do undermined God and there are tons of debates about the Bible and what's true in it and what's not - By Christians.
I agree - Being a Christian isn't all about going to Church, but they are human and do human type things like undermined God, and the likes.

This is a Christian Forum, but everyone has a different opinion. Just because your view is one thing, doesn't mean it's everyone elses. Even though you make good points. :)

Many Christians don't read the Bible.

Faith amongst many Christians is incredibly weak. I thought you of all people would be able to understand that because you've posted yourself witnessing it here.

I am not saying that of all Christians. I am just saying Christianity to many is lukewarm at best so it wouldn't be surprising if they were lead astray by dissenting opinions.

It's a very sad state of affairs. We need to pray for a revival in our hearts.

Also this is precisely my point. Many Christians go to church, listen to a milk sermon, go home and don't even touch their Bible. They assume their good deed for the week is done until next Sunday and they're just great with the Lord.

More tragic is when that time spent at church may as well have been a glorified community centre hosting a party.
