Out of curiosity, how old are you?
Isn't faith a virtue? If that's the case, are you claiming you aren't virtuous enough to be an atheist?
They didn't take other people as slaves. They purchased them. And the Israelite's were known to treat their slaves with respect and dignity, unlike the Roman Empire, who treated them like dirt. The correct meaning of the word is servant, not slaves.
Are they all adhering to your particular beliefs? Do they all buy into a "God" that allegedly walked and talked in a garden that has no evidence of having existed, poofed people and animals into existence, and later, in a manner contrary to the modern understanding of genetics, populated the planet with a tiny group of individuals and animals that survived a global flood in an unbuildable boat, a flood that killed the dinosaurs in a manner that only *appears* to be 65 million years ago, because the Earth is really only somehow 6000 years old, yet remains, by every objective measure to date indistinguishable from nothing? They do. I have just read a book that investigated the nine houses of Islam. The author engaged at least 100 researchers to find out what is going on and the result was the same in every house. Muslims are converting to christianity at a rate of knots hitherto unknown.
In China, thousands are coming to Christ every day. In India, there is a house church of over 100,000 members and so it goes on.
Is faith a virtue? In my view, no.
I just realised that we share a state.Out of curiosity how old are you?
What of all the other Christians and religionists that accept western science? Why do they find your claims unconvincing? If you believe in evolution you don't think. All you do is parrot what you have heard from others.
Just not in any way that you can demonstrate. My faith in God has been beaten out on the anvil of experience and knowledge over 60 years so my conviction is on very solid ground.

I do not speak for various religions as my own keeps me very busy and active. We pray for people who have cancer and sometimes they get healed and sometimes they don't. Fortunately I was one of those who was healed so all I can do is speak as I find. I find getting into all sorts of hypothesis achieves very little, especially when the one making the hypothesis is only trying to be clever and disingenuous.
I will state it clearly so that there is no confusion: I do not know everything. When I posted that I did, I was being sarcastic. No sarcasm, just the truth which I know you cannot handle.
Asking someone to prove a negative is something I consider to be intellectually bankrupt....
I think you think too much about what others say and my best line of evidence is "In the beginning God created the heaven's and the earth....and as NO ONE has proved this to be otherwise, I rest my case.

Ah so it's perfectly okay to purchase other people as property? Is that what you're saying?
Treated them well? Hmmmmm....are you sure?
"If a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod and he dies at his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, he survives a day or two, no vengeance shall be taken; for he is his property." Exodus 21:20-21
So it's wrong if you beat your slave to death but if the slave survives the beating, all is good?
This is immoral nonsense.
Even if slaves are treated well, it is immoral to own other people as property.

The facts of western science? I don't dispute those.A typical cynical response from an atheist who cannot dispute the facts.
I specifically referred to your particular beliefs, as anyone that believes differently that you is wrong, of course.Definitely a red herring as what they believed was not under consideration.
You probably do hate when you have been "gazumped", but let's stick with the contents of the posts, and not make this personal. All you have done is to say I hate it when I have been gazumped so I will try and pull another rabbit out of the hat and run with that and hope that others will be impressed.
