Yeah he stated that the Pope was the anti Christ.

Ha ha ha ha

Probably lol.

That's something stated in the Westminster Confession of Faith which is scholastic Calvinism. It'll be quite common up your way with the Presbyterian churches if they follow it to the letter.

I don't do clubs either really, but we'll see :D

TheGirlOnFire may not like the conference, though. Heck, you may not even like it! It's pretty full-on stuff lol, but I suppose you at least have some idea of what to expect from the sermons you've listened to.

The sermons have been very good, and it's in every new Christian's interest to listen to them. I just don't like it when he starts getting excited - he tends to shout a bit. ^_^

If he's speaking at the conference, and he starts to get excited, I shall just yell out "can we calm it down a bit please John?"

Haha, he doesn't shout!

J Mac is just the bomb. He's just enthusiastic to spread the good news.

I would go with you to the conference if I didn't live across the pond. :234:

Long flight, but if you want to fly then you're welcome to.

I may be in Tampa next year too, so I'll come visit and see Sproul too!

I didn't know they had anything Christian related across the pond. I kind of assumed that was all in America now :p

Son, we have churches older than your country ;)

Did you get a chance to listen to any of those things I linked?

Also, this is good news :)

I've listened to Christ Christ above all. :) It drew me in, and will listen to the others later today. I admit, the thing that actually drove me away from Christianity, was logically I don't believe that the Bible is built on factual evidence. In some ways, that is important to me, but if I travel back to the faith, it will most likely be because I want to 'know' Jesus more. I don't think that I experienced him in the way that I'm feeling right now. He was always 'out there' somewhere, and now I feel he is 'in here.' (points to my heart) It is hard to explain. lol

I appreciate you taking the time with me and sending those links. I'll pm you back as to my thoughts. The Bible one will probably come last :p

For me, faith should be about experience, and less about reading a book and having to believe what a group of people claimed to be truth thousands of years ago. But if one experiences Christ, that means the most. (imho)

You just gotta rub it in, don't cha? Why stop there? You want some salt to put on the wound? A spritz of lemon juice perhaps?

Cool! I really like that one as well.

I am glad things are still positive and it seems quite common that a lot of people have been professing Christians but always felt quite distant from Christ.

Maybe the difference now is something like in the Parable of the Sower. Maybe the seed is now falling on the fertile soil whereas before it was falling on the rocky ground :)

Yes. :)
And maybe...I had to leave, completely abandon my faith, and come back. And see (feel) that he has always been there. That kind of love is divine. That's the only way I can explain this.

He lets us leave, Patrick. That's true love.
