Second... no where on this topic did I even infer that the USA is a holy place.

I said repeatedly what the New Testament says... that the body of a Christian
is the temple of God's Holy Spirit who writes the laws of God in our hearts.

The abomination of desolation = days of Lot = corrupts forever, dethroning
God from the temple [again... I am referring to the Christian body temple where
God's Holy Spirit is supposed to dwell writing the laws of God in our hearts]
and replacing God with humanistic sin [lawlessness.] This is the unpardonable
sin against God's Holy Spirit..

The "days of Lot" is the abomination that makes desolate. If allowed to continue
it will destroy all flesh.

The "days of Lot" may in fact be the abomination that makes desolate. But the dates alone will not confirm this. We still need to address the language of Daniel and Matthew. What is "the Holy Place" and how does the abomination of desolation "stand" or get "set up" in it. If you've found the abomination that makes desolate, the "Holy Place" can't be far away.

All that I can tell you for sure right now is that the abomination of desolation is not currently "standing" in my Holy Place (Temple).

The ancient Babylonian empire ruled the ancient world... and with its ally, Edom, destroyed Jerusalem and the temple...
and took the Israelites captive... until God's anointed king, Cyrus [Isaiah 65:1-7] conquered Babylon, became king of the
known world and returned Israel back to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple [Ezra 1:2]

In the ruins of ancient Babylon was found what is called the "Cyrus Cylinder"... which is now in the British Museum.

The Cyrus Cylinder is an ancient artifact from the time of Cyrus' conquering of ancient Babylon which records events
in Babylon leading up to and including Cyrus' conquering Babylon. Unfortunately parts of it are damaged so only part
of the information remains.

Part of the Babylonian record on the Cyrus Cylinder that I find quite interesting... it says the ruler of Babylon caused the
daily offering to cease... which is similar to the daily sacrifice being abolished in Daniel 9:27, Daniel 11:31 and Daniel 12:11

Here are two different translations of that part of the Cyrus Cylinder

" he brought the daily offerings to a halt; he inter[fered with the rites and] instituted […....] within the sanctuaries "

" he caused the daily offering to cease; he appointed [. . .] he established within the city. "

Notice the [ . . . ] is part of the Cyrus Cylinder which has been destroyed... that missing part seems to dovetail
with something the king of Babylon did after he stopped the daily offering... which might have been the ancient
Babylonian version of the abomination that makes desolate that Mystery Babylon sets up.

According to the Cyrus Cylinder, this ruin is what sealed Babylon's fate... Babylon's fall to Cyrus.

Read Luke 17:28-33 - verses that reference the "days of Lot" to Christ's second coming.

The "days of Lot" reference is in Luke 17... but not in the Matthew or Mark parallels.

Note the very next verse after the first "days of Lot" verses [Luke 17:28-29] and after
the reference of the "days of Lot" to the return of Christ [Luke 17:30]... the next
verse is Luke 17:31 which matches the same verses in Matthew 24:17 and Mark 13:15...
[THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT !!] Then Luke 17:32 verifies Christ is still talking about the
"days of Lot" analogy.

Luke 17 refers to the "days of Lot" but not the "abomination that makes desolate"...
while Matthew 24 and Mark 13 refer to the "abomination that makes desolate" [see
the verses that proceed Matthew 24:17 and Mark 13:15] but not the "days of Lot"....

DO YOU SEE IT ??!!

God has substituted the "days of Lot" in Luke 17... to identify the "abomination that
makes desolate" in Matthew 24 and Mark 13.

Wow... even the differences in the gospels are pieces of the puzzle !!!

First of all... another poster mentioned God's temple.

In the OT, God's throne was the Ark of the Covenant within a physical building,
the temple in Jerusalem. Because of Israel's sins [even allowing sodomites in the
temple] God decreed Babylon's total destruction of Jerusalem and the temple
and Israel's captivity [removing Israelites from the Holy Land.]

In the NT, Jesus Christ is God incarnate, God's Temple made without hands.
Christ is the Chief Cornerstone of a living temple made up of Christian stones.
The NT says our bodies are the temple of God, the Holy Spirit, and that is
why the NT warns us not to pervert and desecrate our temple bodies
[as ancient Israel had desecrated the ancient temple.]

Douggg want to cut to the chase... so I will.

The "abomination that makes desolate" is the "days of Lot"... and the USSC just
last month ruled to legalize the supreme blasphemy... sodomite marriage... which
not only mocks Christ's divine marriage to God's people, Christian Israel, God's living
stones in God's temple made without hands... but also blasphemes the Holy Spirit
who is supposed to indwell within our temple bodies. This is the unpardonable sin
against the Holy Spirit... which will bring down God's Judgment... just like in the
days of Lot.

In the Bible there are three Babylons

Tower of Babel = city

Babylonian empire = regional empire

Mystery Babylon = world empire

2 Timothy 3:16 tells us ... the OT [including the history, which is most of the OT] is our instructor in righteousness.

It is not a coincidence that the end time evil empire in the book of Revelation is also called Babylon.

The OT tower of Babel and Babylonian empire are meant to be symbols... archetypes... of Mystery Babylon.

Daniel 4... specifically Daniel 4:15 refers to the king of Babylon being cut down as a stump that is banded with bronze and iron
so the root [life] remains. This is prophetic symbolism of ancient Babylon being cut down... but the root remains and comes
to life again as Mystery Babylon. The bronze and iron bands refer to how Babylon's stump is preserved through the bronze and
iron kingdoms. Now we come down to the toes of time, the feet of the image. Iron has mixed with miry clay... Mystery Babylon.
