Okay, Dutch Blitz sounds more complicated then. Trust me, you can get really burned in Blitz, lol. I don't recall what my score was by the end of that game, but I told my sister's friend never to bring this game again, haha.

Speaking of rage quit... I used to play a lot of poker when I was 18 and I've always played super aggressive and I bluff a lot as a result. Anyway, playing poker at a colleague's house who is late 20s and her partner is early 30s.

Baited and bluffed him down until he was all in on a hand and I won the hand and he threw his chips at me, stormed upstairs and locked himself in the bathroom.

Now that's a rage quit

There's a game my family plays called "Scottish Bridge" (also known as "Oh Hell") that I feel similarly about sometimes. We introduced this game to my good friends' last September and one of them asked "Why is called Oh Hell", my bro-in-law replies "You'll see". My sister is the exact opposite of me, she's FREAKISHLY GOOD at that game.

I'm actually a pretty gracious loser. I am competitive, but I can also laugh at myself when I totally bomb a game. She was laughing when I told her to never bring it again. I was totally kidding when I said it (okay, maybe it was more an appeal to her kindness to spare me future mental torture). I think she was just amazed that someone could be so dysfunctional at a fairly easy game.

Some people are just poor losers. I wouldn't want to see him play Scottish Bridge, the game is intentionally rigged so that no one guaranteed to actually win.

Patrick's story is really hard to beat, haha. Mind you, I have encountered really bad sports while playing various board games. I think some people just can't accept losing to another person. It is crazy to be that way, especially since very few people who get that intense, are actually at a professional level. They aren't losing in the world championship. I'm referring mostly to poker or chess.

I don't like losing, but I will admit when I actually get defeated after a good fight. For example, on a mission trip in high school I got involved in a game of Risk that started around 3 pm, at 10pm that night my empire fell in 3rd place. What will upset me though, is when it's bad calls, mistake, etc. My senior year of college, we were playing our rival fraternity in intramural football. I was standing at the line of scrimmage, and saw their QB run past me and throw a pass probably 5-10 yards in front of the line of scrimmage. It was 4th down and the pass was caught in the endzone and they won the game.

Europe is a bad place to start. I started in South America and the guy who won started in Australia and didn't leave until he had a horde stronger than Genghis Khan's.

Yeah, those are both better starting positions. At least once or twice, I have started in Italy and tried to recreate the Roman Empire. It didn't always work out so well, lol. I always did better when I abandoned that dream and moved over to the New World.

Quite often. He would move his way up from there and end up taking over all of Asia. If you can do it (obviously some luck of the dice) you are pretty unstoppable.

One of my friends is murder in Dutch Blitz and mops the floor with everyone he plays with. He no longer brings it to church game nights since no one will play with him anymore.

Speaking of church game nights, my pastor (who also plays Dominion) brought out Monopoly and had the game won in half an hour; I was forced to surrender in fifteen minutes. That was the most devastating and aggressive game of Monopoly I have ever experienced.
