There is some truth in what you said; nevertheless, there is the element of deception.

If I honestly believe that I am on the right way of the road, and see a sign which reads “Wrong way. Do not enter,” and ignore the warning, I may collide with another car moving in the opposite direction.

Some people don't see the road the same way you do.

Will you still believe your sources when fire from heaven follows the Second Coming of Jesus Christ?

New International Version
People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.[Luke 17:30]

New International Version
They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. [Revelation 20:9]
Why did you post this nonsense? Now this is a red herring if anything is.

Try to think and argue logically, not emotionally.

I have chosen my historians with great care. Nevertheless, suppose I am wrong. What is the most I can loose when my life is over? How about you?
Nope, when you are dead you are dead. That is all she wrote. And let's say be some super odd fluke there is a god of some sort. Since my life has probably been far more moral than yours I don't see why I would not be going to paradise.

And you did not choose your historians with "great care" you chose them with "great bias".

Sorry, the term Yikataa is not in my dictionary!
You are not worried about Zeus, Thor or Allah or any of the thousands of other gods (neither are we) but you quote your god and expect everyone to be moved,
I think that's called a simple one track mind, someone pointed and you blindly followed and obeyed.

Yes, you see the design, but you fail to connect the dots to the one who is responsible for what you see.

No, I am seeing systems, processes and relationships. You are seeing pretty things that make you go "shucks".

So if we pick one over all the others (monotheism), we have a one-track mind?

Should we pick them all (polytheism) as a cure for this mental condition?

I did provide you the evidence.

No, you made a claim. No evidence was or ever has been provided. If you had any evidence you wouldn't need faith.

Look, I know you imagine you have an invisible friend, but really you don't, and to be honest people over the age of five shouldn't be indulged with this stuff.

Do you have any suggestions?

Therapy maybe?

A person who has not been trained as a scientist should not be held to a standard he is not used to. What I said was perfectly intelligible. I have a Master’s and almost two Ph.D. degrees, but they are not in science. I am also the author of two books, but they are not in science either. I resent being forced to a mold I do not respect, especially when dealing with evolution.

Someone taking part in a scientific discussion should learn to use the correct terminology. If we were having a discussion about the subject matter of your qualifications or books you'd want us to use the correct words. If you start using words in science incorrectly it can lead to a lot of confusion and inaccuracy. Using the word 'theory' in a scientific context and then ignoring the scientific meaning is nonsensical.

Theory is a case in point. If I talk about the 'abstract' of an article I don't mean that it's got some weird paintings attached to it. A hypothesis is an explanation proposed for something that can then be tested, not a guess as some might say. Organic chemicals has a very strict definition and aren't necessarily produced by life, but most would assume that 'organic' means life. In science a fluid can be either a liquid or a gas. Salt and alocohol don't describe the things you eat and drink but are categories for a wide range of different compounds - the vast majority you don't want to be eating or drinking.

Those are just a few off the top of my head. If you have a science discussion but ignore the scientific definitions of words don't be surprised if people pull you up on it.

Does that door swing the other way as well?

Are calling miracles "magic," or saying God "poofed" something into existence candidates for the other side of the coin?

Yes, I'd say so providing that you can show there is a clear, well accepted difference.

What if I can't to the satisfaction of the readers?

Does that give them license to water-down what we hold sacred, while at the same time harp on we misusing their terms?

You still attempting to cast yourself in the role of victim of evil psychiatrists?
If you want to make a point about a five year old cutoff, back it up.

Don't just curse the dark -- light a candle.

If you think six year olds shouldn't be messing with this stuff, give us something to work with.

Legislation? therapy?

Something.

Cute.

So you don't have any suggestions?

Is that it?

From ages 1 - 5, it's okay; but at age 6, a child should suddenly "grow up" and jettison what he learned?

All these churches that dot the land -- they're only for preschoolers?

It is best not to indulge it. The point being that indulging it can in some cases result in people still thinking they have an invisible friend when they are adults and becoming outraged when they are told that their invisible friend isn't in fact real. It all becomes rather sad and embarrassing.

The short answer is we pick none of them because all any of them do is damage the brain, would you say that a person who flies a plane into a building has a damaged brain or would you say they were focused on the truth? what do all the other religions give their believers? don't you find it even a little strange that most Americans are Christians of some sort?
