Clarification: one out of the nine. "One out of nine" implies an actual fatality rate of just over 10%. There haven't been nearly enough cases treated in the US to judge what the rate would be here.

Thanks for the correction.

Australia is following the English and French lead: Australia bans travel from Ebola-hit countries; U.S. isolates troops
MONROVIA/FREETOWN (Reuters) - Australia became the first developed country on Tuesday to shut its borders to citizens of the countries worst-hit by the West African Ebola outbreak, a move those states said stigmatized healthy people and would make it harder to fight the disease.

Australia's ban on visas for citizens of Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea followed decisions by the U.S. military to quarantine soldiers returning from an Ebola response mission and some U.S. states to isolate aid workers.

ICU nursing is usually 1:1, the Dallas hospital reported having 4:1 nursing ratio for Duncan.

In Texas? Nah, more like ICU=IMU at at least 2-3:1. I have seen nurses with five patients ICU.

MAYBE in Cali 1:1 is the norm. But I would expect Texas nurses on average to have 2-3 patients at an easy low level trauma facility. The one to one's aren't usually 1 patient, but the ratio of care (like an 800lb patient classified as 1:1.) Duncan would most likely be one of three or four patients in a Dallas hospital.

Well, all I know is that when my son was in there after his heart surgery, the nurse was in there all the time, until he proved very stable. I guess it depends on the level of need.

What the Dallas nurses said is that they had to have 4 nurses in there with Duncan, plus, at the end, the respiratory therapist, etc. They emptied out all the other ICU patients to care for him. Looks like Bellevue is doing the same.

This woman is evil scum. Agent provocateur. She is a disgrace misleading the public. Quarantined Nurse Kaci Hickox Is A Rabid Leftist And CDC Employee - Downtrend

This new world is about choosing your poison, instead of the majority forced on you. No doubt the solutions presented are already part of a plan, but it is presented as if it was the majority choice of the Voice.

For example, the government for the first time in 14 years is actually concerned with false imprisonment worries, 8th amendment worries, and people's rights. First red flag.

Common sense tells us that someone visiting a zone dealing with a hazardous level 4 infectious disease, that person should be quarantined for safety. No - these people would have you believe that home quarantine is enough.

But, no that is inhumane - yet exposing people to an infectious disease after coming from a hot zone is not inhumane, or dangerous. Of course, the mob mentality will champion for the "human rights" cause no matter how backward the rationale is to humanity.

Now, the grand curtain call is when the quarantine issue is seemingly done with, and the ebola issue explodes out of control. Then people will beg for extreme measures like forced quarantine - anything to stop the disease and feel .ore secure and safe. the same thing was done for 9/11: the same patriots that claimed to never let the constitution die bent over for the Bush and Obama administration - anything to feel safe, and secure. Rights have been dissolved for a decade, and all people can do to hide shame of knowing the terrorists won is defend their own actions, or to play the partisan blame game. The same thing will happen now.

Watch, if this ebola thing goes bad people will bend over again and beg for any solution as long as they feel safe and secure. Do you really think anyone who does that will comprehend the magnitude of what an agent provacateur is?

Just sit back, and watch the show.

The science on the spread of Ebola is very clear in the medical world. The virus is spread through close contact with an infected person who has symptoms, such as a fever, or with the patient’s bodily fluids, such as blood. No symptoms, no danger. Science, politics face off in grudge match over Ebola rules - LA Times

The politics of fear.

We know how Ebola is spread.

We know the medical staff in Dallas were not prepared to treat a symptomatic patient.

One of nine patients treated in the US has died

....and yet, some politicians continue to support overly restrictive policies based on fear, rather than science.

It's also now apparent that the good doctor Craig Spencer also refused to self-quarantine, repeatedly lying about having done so.

Ebola doctor ‘lied’ about NYC travels | New York Post
“He told the authorities that he self-quarantined. Detectives then reviewed his credit-card statement and MetroCard and found that he went over here, over there, up and down and all around,” a source said.
