  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

good morning everyone! Oooohhh, *yawn* it's Monday, but it's still holiday so everything will still be in slow weekend mode here. A bit overcast outside today with rain expected later. We need the rain though *yawn* and it does make for nice reading and sleeping weather.

Hmmmm, upstairs neighbors are back from their holliday...i can hear their washer going chugga, chugga, chugga. sometimes i like that energetic sound, but other days i'd much rather roll over, put a pillow over my head, and go back to sleep, LOL. More power to their wheel. :)

I'll have to get out early to beat the raindrops. got to go out to drop off the rent check and take the trash out. getting out on the scooter is always fun so that should help to wake me up.

Off to make a cuppa Earl Grey hot...and thanks to everyone here for making this such a nice place to visit. i look forward to being here with each of you at the beginning of a new day.

So much reading. I have to read six novels by October.

Cliff Notes, anyone?...or hopefuly the novels have been made into movies...
but, yea, that's a lot of reading.

I am a Dean's List student whose advisor looks at B+s and tells me that is low for me. Reading Cliff Notes or watching movies in lieu of actually reading it is the equivalent of ripping out my own eyes out to me.

I know you mean nothing of it, but I take academics seriously. Well, at least, since my senior year in high-school :p.

Let's put it this way: it's been over two years since I graduated and received my final grade report for my senior year. I still haven't looked at it.
