Does anyone know how to care for garden seeds. Are they frozen or just kept in a cool, dry place? Or something else?

The newspaper logs is a cool thing. I am designing a template that turns leaves and shredded newspaper into little rounds that go into a rocket heater/cooker.
Add leaves, shredded paper to water. Allow to soak overnight.
Place the solids into a circular mold and place a weight on the mold to squeeze out the water. Leave the circles in the sun for a day to bake. When you are done you have nice little pellets that will fuel your stove.
You can freeze the garden seeds. You can buy a package containing a very good variety of seeds from many vendors. They are stored in sealed packages and guarantee the product. Also be sure the seeds are heirloom. Hybrid plants may not produce seed that germinate.
As always, we stress that people begin now moving toward self sufficiency. If you have a high degree of self sufficiency, when the whatever happens you may not even notice!

Thanks for the support. We look at prepping as a hobby. If nothing happens, cool! But if something does happen, we plan to be like the believers in Jerusalem, who when called upon by the prophets to share their preps with those who were starving, they had plenty to share.

Hey Dids, I was watching the Jim Bakker show with my aunt and they sell prep food. I was considering the monthly brick which I think is affordable (with shipping, $70.00 a month). What do you think about that particular item? There are a whole bunch of other products also.

That actually is a pretty good price. I have seen some for from $80 -$120. If there is a good amount of nutrition in the kit, then that sounds good.

Really the goal of all prepping is not just to make it through the first couple years of a collapse, it is to transfer your lifestyle to that of self sufficiency. I think people delude themselves into thinking they can store enough food to last forever. We'd be surprised to find out just how fast our preps last when there is nothing else to live on.

My wife and I have discussed this very thing. We'd find it extremely hard not to help others in need, so as far as storing enough food is concerned, that aspect of prepping thing seems very temporary.
