Ok thanks yes I do like sea food and being in Australia its all around us. Though its become quite expensive now. But I will check it out and now I am thinking that I cant eat sea food as much. Damn I love a prawn on the Barby.

You may not eat the very crab in the water nearby the pond or the bay you know and the water looks clean. The same type of crab might come from somewhere a chemical plant is discharging sewer for years. You never know.

Don't fret, bro -- it's a sign that you're doing something right.

Remember Paul in the Bible?

He would set out on a mission journey, and the Pharisees would follow him around all over the place.

No sooner would he settle in and start preaching, then the Pharisees would show up and start their ... well ... Phariseeism.

Then Paul would move on to another city; only to be followed there and have to go through it again.

There's nothing new under the sun, and nothing has changed since the first century.

Only we're using the Internet now, instead of camels.

Wherever God is doing His work, satan is always there too.
Is it a miserable situation? Is it really better if satan does not tag along?
I don't think so.

Perhaps you are a newby to internet debate, the dietary laws of the O.T. are often brought up since many Christians disregard this part of the Bible. I say most because I have a Seventh Day Adventist brother and know that they follow the O.T. dietary laws.

On shellfish, I love them. And where I live we do get warnings when we can't eat fresh shellfish form certain areas. Hmmm, Dungeness Crab!:

Well I am relatively new to this or any debate site. I know of the relevant verses to do with the eating and not eating of certain foods and the rituals that the Jews had to follow when it came to food.

But as I said Jesus came so that there was a new way and it wasnt about the rituals and laws but about where a persons heart was at.

Mark 7:17 17 When He had entered a house away from the crowd, His disciples asked Him concerning the parable. 18 So He said to them, "Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, 19 "because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, [thus] purifying all foods?" 20 And He said, "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. 21 "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornication's, murders, 22 "thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 "All these evil things come from within and defile a man."

If you know your Bible well enough you would know that Jesus also said that not one jot or tittle of the law would change.

Yes thats true, Jesus said He was the fulfillment of the law. But I was mainly speaking about the rituals and beliefs that the Jews had in keeping the laws. The sacrifices and the eating of certain foods and the clean and unclean practices. the bible say and I think it was Paul said if you feel you have to do those things that is OK. He even went as far to say dont argue about these things. If someone feels they need to do them then thats OK. A person will stand or fall on their own need to keep these rituals but dont fall out over them. But He said all these things are superfluous to what is in the heart. Like with the Pharisees. Jesus said they go around keeping rituals and letting people see how holy they are with the prayers they verbalize and the cloths they wear. But on the inside they are deceitful and full or corruption. So as with sacrificing animals to God to atone themselves or staying away fro certain foods wasn't needed. It was accepting Christs sacrifice on the cross and the blood of Jesus which transformed a person for and made them worthy before God.

Rather than offer up your usual bucketfuls of nothing, how about actually offering something of substance?

Breaking the Ninth Commandment again I see:

Matthew 5:18

"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

Last time I checked heaven and Earth were still here.

Let me check outside real quick....

Yup, still there.

Compare that to this statement of yours.....

"If you know your Bible well enough you would know that Jesus also said that not one jot or tittle of the law would change."

See the difference?

Not in the context of the conversation. Do you know what we were discussing?

It supports my claim. I see that you are going to try to bend the truth to the breaking point again.

I'm guessing he means that "til all be fulfilled" bit at the end of the verse.

Or he's a super-literalist and you should have said "Matthew said that Jesus said..."

You just got schooled in one.

Where? Misquoting scripture is in the area of expertise of atheistic anti-theists.

I guess one could recognize their schooling of error, but that's hardly acceptable for those who embrace scriptural truths.
