they absolutely will drink from a pan or a puddle or whatever. But they know the fruits and veggies that have a lot of water too. whatever is easiest and safest for them is what they'll do.

Thank you. Maybe a bird bath against her favorite tree then. She's a bit wary about being on the ground because of the cats. (She is apparently convinced that cats can't climb trees, and my cat just sits on the ground and watches her anyway.)

And another one between the fence and garden, so she has to climb over it to get TO the tomatoes.

Worth a shot. ;)

Thank you!

Thanks! :)

And the title of the thread inspires a question - I am wondering what an "Ouzeri" is. Gotta look that one up. :)
here's what I found on wiki. Makes sense, what with all these Eastern Orthodox around here... ;)

Ouzeri
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An ouzeria is a type of Greek tavern which serves ouzo (a Greek liquor) and mezedes, small finger foods.

I found that too. And kept reading various clicks. Greeks eat a lot of seafood, hm? I guess that makes fasting easier.

And Ouzo has interesting spice blends sometimes.

Stopped at the grocery store in the city to see what's on sale this week, and they had blueberries super-cheap. I haven't had any in a long time, so I bought a package. They do not disappoint - they are WONDERFUL!!! I wish I'd bought two cartons!

I love blueberries. :)

Incidentally, I felt like a failure as a father until today, when my daughter finally tried bacon for the first time and, naturally, loved it.

Wait, I've seen your daughter and she's still toddler-aged... why did it take her so long to try bacon? What have you been doing all this time!

You can lead a toddler to bacon, but you cannot make her feast.
