You choose a translation, therefore you interpret Scripture.

That does not make sense.

You explain the meaning of Scripture, adding the word "Alone" to Scripture to support your belief in Sola Scripture, therefore you interpret Scripture.

I do not add any words to scripture. I do not even say Sola Scriptura.

You tell us that Scripture ALONE is necessary, despite Scripture NOT saying that clearly, therefore you interpret Scripture..

Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to the word, they have no light of dawn.

The scripture plainly and clearly says that we are to speak what the word says.
Jesus says that tradition keeps man from God’s truth:

Matthew 15:6-9 Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:

Jesus said "This is my blood"

Did Jesus lie or was He saying "This is My Blood"?

It's a simple question. "This is My Blood" is very straightforward
Yes, THIS IS MY BLOOD is the plain reading of Scripture. Of course unless one does their own interpretation of Scripture than it's just a metaphor because they make up their own gospel

Yes, here is the bible verse:

1Corinthians 4:15 Even if you should have countless guides to Christ, yet you do not have many fathers, for I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

Translations are made by people with doctrinal biases, meaning that they choose to interpret the Greek into an English idea that fits their doctrine. An example of this is the NWT rendering of John 1:1, which says "the word was A god", and not "the word was God". The selection of a translation necessitates a doctrinal interpretation, because your translation speaks the interpretation of the translators. This is true with EVERY translation.

I do not add any words to scripture. I do not even say Sola Scriptura.

You say the English equivalent, you know, how Scripture Alone (which is the meaning of Sola Scriptura) is necessary for true Doctrine. This is, also, the actual doctrine of Sola Scriptura.

Isaiah 8:20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to the word, they have no light of dawn.

The Word is Christ, not Scripture.

The scripture plainly and clearly says that we are to speak what the word says.

Matthew 15:6-9 Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
Paul commands Tradition, plain and clear.

To post in which forum?

I do not believe in Creeds. To believe in Creeds is not in the scriptures.
Than you are breaking the rules of this forum, to post here you must agree with the Nicene Creed which all Christians agree with. If you don't you can post in the non-orthodox portion of the forum but not here. Those are the site rules that you agreed to when you signed up, all of had to agree to them.

That's right. He was speaking to those with him. If He didn't want them to call anyone father, I don't believe He would have said "Father" in front of Abraham. Wouldn't you think?

Jesus was speaking to his disciples about not calling each other ‘father’. They are brothers.

There's actually a point in scripture where Paul calls himself father speaking to one of the churches he oversaw, but I can't remember off the top of my head. I'll see if I can find it.

You said Timothy called Paul ‘father’.

I am telling you God's Truth.
No you are not. You have just told me you do not believe the creed, so hence you do not post God's truth. You may think you are but your just posting your opinion, really many have tried showing you the truth but you refuse to listen. You can not get saved and expect to know everything by taking verses and throwing them around out of context. You may not be ready for the meat of the true Gospel but just milk. As St. Paul says:

I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.

No. Just all threads wherein the parent category is labeled "orthodox Christians only, such as General Theology.

That is why I said I was new and did not realize I was in a thread for Orthodox only. I asked that if anyone wants to discuss with me to post where we could debate. I only answered your replies to me out of politeness.

Paul also called himself the father of the corinthians ;)

Was he violating Christ's commands?

Your argument destroys itself. If Christ was speaking only to the 12, then He was not speaking to us and we need not follow it. But if He was speaking to all of us, then Paul violated it and so did Christ.

Those are your two options

I'm sorry. I don't understand how you correlate Christ's teaching of the story of Lazarus and the Rich man where He says Father Abraham as meaning He is instructing those listening to Him not to use the word, 'father.' Could you please explain how to came to that conclusion?

You said Timothy called Paul ‘father’.
yes, except my last comment was that I thought I remembered reading Paul calling himself father and went to find the verse. So I presented it. :)

If I may this is a forum for orthodox (little o), aka those who agree with the Creeds, that Christ is God, the Trinity, etc. not just for Orthodox (big O) which is a Church. It can get a little confusing at first

God does not tell us to make creeds. I believe God's Truth, you go by man's truth.

I am showing you what the scriptures plainly and clearly say.
Again you are not. The Nicene creed has been displayed for you with the relevant Scripture passages. Here it is again:

The Nicene Creed (with scriptural references)

We believe in (Romans 10:8-10; 1John 4:15)
ONE God, (Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:6)
the Father (Matthew 6:9)
Almighty, (Exodus 6:3)
Maker of Heaven and Earth, (Genesis 1:1)
and of all things visible and invisible. (Colossians 1:15-16)

And in ONE Lord Jesus Christ, (Acts 11:17)
the Son of God, (Mathew 14:33; 16:16)
the Only-Begotten, (John 1:18; 3:16)
Begotten of the Father before all ages. (John 1:2)
Light of Light; (Psalm 27:1; John 8:12; Matthew 17:2,5)
True God of True God; (John 17:1-5)
Begotten, not made; (John 1:18)
of one essence with the Father (John 10:30)
by whom all things were made; (Hebrews 1:1-2)
Who for us men and for our salvation (1Timothy 2:4-5)
came down from Heaven, (John 6:33,35)
and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, (Luke 1:35)
and became man. (John 1:14)
And was crucified for us (Mark 15:25; 1Cointhians 15:3)
under Pontius Pilate, (John 19:6)
and suffered, (Mark 8:31)
and was buried. (Luke 23:53; 1Corinthians 15:4)
And the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures. (Luke 24:1 1Corinthians 15:4)
And ascended into Heaven, (Luke 24:51; Acts 1:10)
and sits at the right hand of the Father. (Mark 16:19; Acts 7:55)
And He shall come again with glory (Matthew 24:27)
to judge the living and the dead; (Acts 10:42; 2Timothy 4:1)
whose Kingdom shall have no end. (2 Peter 1:11)

And in the Holy Spirit, (John 14:26)
the Lord, (Acts 5:3-4)v
the Giver of Life, (Genesis 1:2)
Who proceeds from the Father; (John 15:26)
Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; (Matthew 3:16-17)
Who spoke through the prophets. (1 Samuel 19:20 ; Ezekiel 11:5,13)

In one, (Matthew 16: 18)
holy, (1 Peter 2:5,9)
catholic*, (Mark 16:15)
and apostolic Church. (Acts 2:42; Ephesians 2:19-22)

I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins**. (Ephesians 4:5; Acts 2:38)
I look for the resurrection of the dead, (John 11:24; 1Corinthians 15:12-49; Hebrews 6:2; Revelation 20:5)
and the life of the world to come. (Mark 10:29-30)
AMEN. (Psalm 106:48)

*The word "catholic" (literally, "complete," "universal," or "according to the whole") refers to the universal church of the Lord Jesus Christ and not necessarily or exclusively to any particular visible denomination, institution, or doctrine.

**May be interpreted as baptism is a matter of obedience and not a requirement for salvation or as a regenerating ordinance.

Now tell us all, since you know all what is wrong with the Creed. Remember it follows Scripture completely and you must agree to this to post on this sub forum
