Sorry. The forum doesn't change the burden of proof.
And this is a an open section of the site.... open to everyone, christian or not.

That would be your opinion and yes it is an open part of this forum. That doesn't mean you are going to get everything you assert rubber stamped.

BTW, I AM and actual Mod trainee, you could have just asked me instead of reporting my post.

No its not. Its a simple statement of reality. Maybe you don't share the same reality the rest of us do?

I definitely don't share atheistic views. There is no doubt as to them be a reality, only that their content is NOT.

I call your ability to moderate fairly into question based on your posting in this thread. I don't care about a rubber stamp. That has nothing to do with burdens of proof.

Actually.... that's wrong. Know why? Substitute "invisible pink fart fairies" for "gods" in your statements. See if you still think there's an equal burden of proof.

Invisible pink fart fairies is far more specific than just saying gods. Gods doesn't describe said entities in any way. Perhaps that would match up in the case of a specific religion's god/gods, but not the generalized existence of a deity.

You seem rather... intolerant at times for a moderator.

And not only towards atheists. He seems to treat fellow Christians that accept the theory of evolution in a similar fashion.

Here is a crazy question, why not an atheist moderator?

First of all I'm not posting as a mod and second where am I being intolerant?

Seem would be the operative word here.

You are being a bit aggressive, mods are supposed to be the middle ground, to keep the peace and order. Even if you are a mod in training, you should still be practicing these kinds of skills.

I'm sure they would be more than happy to consider any that apply.

I don't moderate threads I post in.

I haven't met ANY Christians that believe in evolution they way you make it appear.

Again by you when you acknowledged that quoting the Bible out of context was wrong and yet quoting Darwin and other evolutionary scientists out of context seems to be okay with you.

Well I show you where it's wrong but I don't see ANY reciprocation in that regard. I asked where. That means tell me the post number.

A "generalized existence of a deity," however, is not what theists claim. Theists claim a specific god or specific gods exist. And in a specific form.

What you're describing is the mere possibility that some god in some form somewhere may exist. So what? That's not what this is about.

And further, youre using "gods" as if the word carries no attributes with it. In which case, I coild define my coffee cup to be a god, and thus prove god exists.

Obviously that sounds silly. ... why? Because you know that gods have specific attributes according to those who believe they exist. So yes "gods" does describe those entities.

And who are you to say that invisible pink fart fairies aren't gods? How do you know they don't exist and didn't create the universe?

Yesbim being snarky. :)

She was being polite. A future moderator should not let himself get carried away, nor should you show any bias, which is difficult when someone is opposing your views.

Well that would be YOUR POV. Because I don't agree and accept assertions does NOT mean I'm causing strife or disorder. Do all you atheists just want to be left alone as a mutual admiration society?

Calling yourself a Christian is not an earmark, it is a fact, misunderstanding or a lie. Only God knows for sure which. This sites SOF makes it clear what it is considered here.

So you would agree that your bible is confusing, thereby making the writers authors of confusion.

I already told you that your first post here linked to a bogus site where they quote mined Darwin and others.

In fact there is a rule with creationists. If there is a quote of someone who opposes them and there is no link to a proper unedited source they are guilty of quote mining until proven innocent. That is because over 99% of the time that is what they are doing when they quote scientists.

Hmmm. Now let's see why that might be.

Is that because you just don't get out and meet many other christians who hold different beliefs from you?

Or is it because you just believe that anyone who accepts evolution cannot possibly be a True Christian?
