It is probably the only normal property of dark matter. Perhaps dark matter doesn't have chemical reactions with itself, and thus why it doesn't seem to form stars? That is just conjecture of course, but it is something to consider.

It's absolutely fascinating to me how willingly atheists accept a concept that utterly lacks empirical support, *as long as* it doesn't involve "God". :)

I have no idea if there are any forms of exotic matter, let alone what properties that exotic forms of matter might possess. Astronomers haven't a clue either. :) The point that's noteworthy however is that all the lab evidence to date supports the *standard* particle physics theory, and *only* the standard particle physics theory, and standard particle physics theory is complete without exotic forms of matter.

I don't claim my idea is correct, I just presented it. I am not a physicist, for all I know my idea is impossible.

I said that they were possibly wrong. They did get a three sigma signal. You keep conveniently forgetting that 3.5 sigma event that you thought was "proof". The jury is still out on dark matter. The evidence for particles is still lacking. The observed evidence is still rather strong. Meanwhile you have nothing but old debunked ideas that you are not willing to let go.

The bottom line is that the LUX experiments *utterly destroyed* your claims about exotic matter in those energy ranges. It's typical of course that you remain in pure denial of the outcome of those higher sensitivity experiments, but LUX wiped out all of those "sigma" numbers that you are clinging to like a life preserver.

Assigning properties to theoretical forms of matter and energy is absolutely no different that people randomly attributing various properties to "God". How would you ever go about completely falsifying their claims in the first place? Exotic matter theories have been reduced to exotic matter of the gaps arguments at this point.

I am a biology person dude, I just wanted to add my two cents is all, I am not trying to falsify anything, I have a basic understanding of what dark matter is supposed to be and nothing more, I am curious about it, I find it interesting, but it is not my area of expertise in the slightest.

Or perhaps dark matter doesn't exist at all. That's something to consider as well, considering 25 years of non-detection.

Tell me, how many non-detections did it take to falsify ether theories? Why isn't dark matter held to that same standard of falsifiability?

You certainly can't claim lack of mass anymore.

That explanation just doesn't fly anymore now that technology has advanced to allow us to detect all the plasma that exists in the universe, nor is it reasonable to assume any mass is missing whatsoever.

But tell me, in light of the new discoveries of all this extra mass, has dark matter theories been revised to take this into account? or are we ignoring all that mass as well to keep Fairie Dust theories alive and well?

It has been detected,

It would be fair to say that "missing mass" (not accounted for in mainstream theory) has been observed. Whether any of that matter is 'extraordinary' in composition however is a completely different topic.

light is warped when it passes through it, and yet inexplicably the behavior of the mass the light passes through doesn't match up with typical matter.

Sure it does. Lensing data does not differentiate between various forms of matter. Ordinary matter in fact is the *only* form of matter that has that effect as far as we know.

Just know that exotic matter theory is *nothing* like biology. Biological processes show up in the lab and they are pretty easily studied in controlled experimentation. Most supernatural constructs related to astronomy are complete no shows in the lab. In fact, exotic matter theory is the *only* mainstream claim that actually *can* be tested in the lab, and thus far it's been a complete and total dud.

That is not true. When two galaxies collide there are two separate "lensing" events that have been observed. The lensing caused by the observable mass of the galaxies, in other words from the stars, and the lensing caused by something unknown and without light (in other words dark) that was left behind:

Ok, interesting to know.

Michael is being disingenuous here. Dark matter is theorized not to react with regular matter, or react very little at all. As I have said there is evidence for it in galactic collisions and in the speed of rotations of both galaxies and galactic clusters. Scientists are still working on how to observe it in the laboratory. Michael has a dislike of science that has to be done through observation. Not everything can be reproduced in the laboratory.

Well aware that not everything can be reproduced in a laboratory.
