You could listen to music and live in the thrill of it as long as you choose to. There will be no hurrying. No one will die, and time will not be running out on you.

Sounds boring.

Adversity is the fuel of progress. To an individual such as myself who is in the sciences, such a situation would lack all that is the very josh of my being.
