i don't try to follow the bible at all but if you say its gods holy word then you have to accept all of it not just the stuff you like about it.

If one takes a fire ember, such as some natives used to do before the white man came...one would have seen that ember travel in a container.

If a dog bites people that dog is still put to death at times. As for the laws for ancient Israel, they needed some that really put them on the right path.

Discernment and understanding is not cherry picking. One should have some grip on the times one lives, and what God says about THEM!

It would have to be part of a class on religion and it would be given just as much respect as the Koran, the Vedas, or any other religious writing out there including the bible of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
