  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

New Creationist theory on how life spread out after the flood.

Once again, you can go check out the evidence for yourself.

Sure. If I had the time, the knowledge, the money, the equipment and the desire. So could you. But you haven't, have you?

You're missing the point. You have no evidence other than what other people tell you is evidence. In other words, you still have to believe what they tell you.

No, I don't. That's the great thing about science. If you don't believe a scientist you can redo their experiments and check their work. You don't have to believe one word they say.

It all boils down to who you believe has the authority to make factual statements.

No, it doesn't. It comes down to the facts, not beliefs.

So where's your evidence that the Universe and life wasn't created? please don't say 'nested hierarchy' again or I'm sure I'll vomit.

The various nested hierarchies do make sense only in light of evoluti0nary theory.

The reason that we do not believe in creation is that there is no evidence for creation. There is evidence for evolution. Plenty of it.

Show your evidence for creation and we can compare evidences.

But the scientific community does. All research is intertwined and interdependent. There is also fierce competition for public grants. If the DNA sequence found in a public database is wrong then people basing their experiments off of that sequence will discover that it is wrong, and report it as being wrong. You don't have to put faith in a single scientist.

Not every single aspect of evolution. I have training in geology. If I seriously doubted a find I could check it out. You won't even take the time to find out if one is true and you irrationally reject the whole science. Yet you probably have no trouble with DNA tests. The science that makes DNA tests to see who was the father, or if someone was a particular criminal is the same science that says Noah's Ark did not happen. The same science that says there was no Adam and Eve. There are all sorts of branches of science that say your myths did not happen. You don't have to study them all.

And to reject science you have to be very paranoid.

You are still missing the point.

You have not done the experiments. You have not seen the evidence. You have to either believe what other people tell you, or not believe. You could do the experiments yourself, perhaps, but you haven't, and you won't, just like the rest of us.

So for the vast majority of people in the world, science is still a belief system. Unless you do the research yourself, you are believing in somebody.

No, we are trusting somebody. And we are trusting a group that has tested itself many times over and has a history of veracity.

You have far less than we do.

Science works. Science produces. Science makes whatever sort of computer that you are using possible.

Do you think there is a worldwide conspiracy to fake scientific evidence that anyone could expose in a heartbeat? Do you know what peer review is?

No, it isn't. No matter how hard you want science to be as bad as religion, it just isn't going to work.

Oh, shifting the burden of proof now? I would say that evidence that life was not created is in the same aisle and right beside the evidence that proves that Thor does not create lightning.

Nested hierarchy! Perhaps one day you will decide to know what that means (maybe after you vomit?).

Of course, I forgot you are far superior in knowledge to anyone and nobody else can understand anything.

Just as kids trust the teachers who brainwash them about evolution being fact

There is no brainwashing necessary. The evidence out there supports only the theory of evolution. If your side had evidence they would be trumpeting it.

The evidence you propose to kids is that you have a fossil record showing gradual transitions. However, nothing could be further from the truth. Even the horse evolution exhibit has been removed from our museums. So, what does the fossil record reveal exactly? Tiny changes over around 12 million year steps, then a sudden introduction of NEW species. There is no gradual progression at all. What we observe is EXACTLY what we would expect from creation. This includes Man being the last addition.
