Then perhaps like there is a poll 'What is Messianic' would be better. Messianic Believers or something to that effect. Or as ContraMundum said this forum wasn't like it is when it started and should keep on that same path?

I will state this one last time...

This forum seeks to bring in as many who wish to come to discuss Torah and Tradition and of course our Faith in Yeshua irregardless of affiliation to any organization

If we cannot do that in peace because a small group disrupt the peace and harmony in here by insisting on campaigning against MY plan moving forward, those folks will be banned

Whatever the case may be, the bottom line is this:

Messianic Judaism is defined in different ways by different organizations and different individuals.

For all practical purposes, on this forum, the final word as to "what is MJ" belongs to the moderators of this board - not MJAA, not UMJC, not CPM, not Wikipedia, not me. It's great that the moderators are willing to hear our perspectives on what is and what is not MJ, but the final decision lies with those in power. It's up to the visitors (us) to decide if we like their decision or not by voting with or without our participation.

Aniello is doing well, is in his apartment in town and going to speech therapist and dr. on M,W,F, for work on the problem. Voice is audible now, still quite weak but there. I'm going to try to get a Foundation flight down there from here at Pine R. Monday, I'm hoping.

Time for this ol' boy to catch some Zzzzzzzzs.

Avodat and his abbreviations [can't think of the correct word at the moment]. I'm constantly web searching for their meanings. Anyway, what is "WW3?"

I could easily whip up a script for that function regardless of any perceived complications with the server side software.

I think Avodat's referring to the fact that this is his second upheaval here in the CF/MJ forum and he's calling it World War 3. This has happened every year since I've been here and it's the same posters, same problems. Last year the rest of us all just up and left for several months. It's really sad we can't seem to get this resolved. This forum is usually a very nice, pleasant place to be....

Just throwing this in where "level of observance" is concerned. Like the Jerusalem council perhaps we ought to have a minimum of observance being
1 - A Messianic Remembers and Honors the Shabbes
2 - A Messianic Observes Hashem's appointed times
3 - A Messianic Obeys the Dietary Laws as set forth in Torah.
4 - A Messianic Obeys and Observes the 10 Words
5 - A Messianic will obey and observe the rest of the 613 Laws that are applicable as the Spirit leads them in

The first statements 1-4 should be the beginning standard of lowest level of TO. Step 5 will become a life-long journey as the believer goes on his/her journey with Mashiach.

Just thought I'd offer this as something to chew on. If the Disciples/Apostles thought it was necessary to have a minimum level of observance, why shouldn't we? It would help keep a lot of the disagreements at bay. If 1-4 is not a part of my walk then I have no right to fly the MJ icon. Simple really.

Is my showing what Messianic Judaism stance on this issue a problem? Is my posting what a UMJC Messianic Jewish rabbi's congregations stance in California a problem? Maybe a UMJC stance is geographical? I'm in the North East.

I also posted other entity stances and I believe have never campaigned for a stance, just showing what stances are on different sides.



What's your exact plan moving forward for the betterment of the forum?

Along with my post of "minimal observance level" I also suggested a sticky list of regular TO posters which will grow as more and more become regular TO MJ posters in this forum. Not sure how that would work but it's a thought. So now Tish has two ideas to work with anyway.... along with anything else she might come up with.

And just to get my little 2cents worth in on this, I think FFoZ made a major mistake when they stepped backwards, i think it was in 2009(?). I imagine money had more to do with it than anything.

In regard to the list you are suggesting, are you saying that members would add their name to the list as regular members of the MJ forum? Actually, I kind of like this one. But what would happen if someone raised their hand, said they were a member, but others in the forum didn't agree that they qualified or were really Messianic enough?
