The Word declares that the earth is fixed in place but that the heavens revolve around the earth; and the sun, moon and stars stars follow their own peculiar paths in the revolving heavens which revolve around the earth from the beginning of creation, when the heavens and earth were made and the heavens were stretched out from the earth between the divided in two waters around the earth, on day two; and the sun and moon were made and set in the revolving heavens on day 4 of creation week.

Have you had any formal education? I'm honestly curious.

The Scriptures are not a textbook, and treating them as such degrades and discredits what they are actually meant for. It is a well known fact that we do not live in a geocentric universe, but a heliocentric system of planets within the Milky Way galaxy. Common sense that has been widely understood and proven for over 300 years.

Thanks y.s.m. Yes, when we see over 100 prophecies throughout the Bible, telling us about a terrible and shocking Day not fulfilled in the past, that must still be future; then saying it is just 'moral chaos', has to be wrong.
The Psalms have a lot of prophecy. Asaph the writer of 83 was a prophet, So was David.....
Yes, the psalms are prophetic songs, many of which are to be fulfilled and many sung on appointed feast days have to do with the future fulfillment of those feasts, or with the now past fulfillment of those days -like much of Psalm 118 for "this is the Day YHWH hath made" -for the fulfillment of the Atonement.
David the prophetic song writer and harpist appointed the sons of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthan to prophesy with harps and songs....

1 Chronicles 25:1 Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was...

In those days they thought it was geocentric universe. Now we know better. The thought the celestial bodies were living beings and fighting also.
God created a geocentric universe. Genesis declares that there was no light until day 2 =an electric universe came into being.

Genesis declares that the heavens were not stretched out until day 2, and they were stretched out from this globe of water, between the divided waters of creation, and named "two waters- sha-mayim" on the day they were stretched out.
Genesis declares that the sun and moon were not made and set in the stretched out heavens until day 4 of creation week.
and so on and so forth....the revolving heavens as the "circle of the earth" caused evening/night and morning/day, making one day each revolution, from the beginning, on day 1 of creation week.

So the starlight did not come to earth over billions of years, according to the Word of God, but the starlight began right here, and was stretched out with the "firmament" between the divided waters of creation, with half the waters above and half below.
In the Electric Universe, water plays a great part in being a conduit for the electric light of the stars. In the Writings of Enoch the prophet, the seventh from Adam, even, the path of the stars is in the clear waters above the tabernacle of God, which Enoch went into in chapters 14,15.

Yes I read Enoch and he says the sun goes through what 6 gates and the moon also and windows and explains how the daylight changes over time, shorter and longer days. he didn't know about how the earth revolves also while going around the sun and changes on its axis. Also who wrote Gen?

Ya know people seen things different back then, one can't take the bible literally.

When the Bible speaks of literal things, take it literally.
Enoch's portals which the sun, moon, and stars enter and exit, rising and setting in their seasons, are ordained electromagnetic courses/paths which they follow according to the Word of God, who set them in place in the beginning.
Enoch's calendar tells exactly how the year is 360 days with 4 "stop" days at the heads of the seasons which stop days are not counted in the year but added at the end of the year to make 364 days.
There is a man who has calculated the days based on Enoch's revelation to be exactly 364 in a year as Enoch said, from the beginning to now. The fact that the "parts" of the evening and mornings are not counted in the year, but added to the number at the end of the year, makes the days exactly 360 in the year, with the four stops.
The creation calendar day begins at sunset and ends at sunset taken from God's declared center "navel" of the earth, in Jerusalem. When the evening and morning are equal in length from that point, the year begins. That is not exactly the spring solstice because it is counted from Jerusalem. I think it was Mar 15 this year.
From that point, the days are counted as beginning at sunset and there are exactly 360 of them, leaving out the stops. So the stop days are not counted as to their lengths of light and dark, and that makes the calendar equal exactly 360 days, and the number of them is 364 in a year because of the addition of the stop days at the end. 364 days a year in God's calendar still are the way He numbers the years from creation to forever.

OTOH: the calendars man has invented after discarding God's numbering system and seasons beginnings and endings are never correct, and need constant leap years and so on to bring things up to what they seem to be, to man.

Also, the calendar God created begins at the equal parts of evening and morning in the center of His creation, which is Jerusalem, as He said, but that is not the count for the beginning of creation, which was in the fall. Adam was created on the sixth day after the days and nights have equal parts as seen from Jerusalem which is Rosh Hashanah and he died on his birthday at age 930. His death was mourned by the tribes of earth every year from that time of his death, even before Moses gave the Law,
Now it is called the "days of mourning" before Yom Kippur; the celebration of the promised Day of Atonement -the promise of redemption back, to the state of the creation as it was before the fall, follows.

Because of discarding Enoch's calendar, the days are not numbered properly by even Israel, since the return from the first dispersion, but Jesus will correct the calendar when He returns.

That is called flaming, and if you have nothing to contribute in Bible discussion with Scriptures to back your view, then please refrain from flaming.
Thank you

Actually it's not flaming, it's a question as to wither on not you're serious that the earth doesn't move.

Actually it's not flaming, nice try.

And actually it's a rather relevant post. I've been a Christian for 22 years, and spent the first six years of my educational career having scriptures drilled into me. So if you're asking if I'm familiar with the Scriptures, yes I am.

I do not believe in any of the Five Solas, including Sola Scriptura, and I've never, even as a young one, approached the Scriptures as a text book for any subject because that's not what they are.

Cogent? Not sola gratia nor solo Christo nor solo fidei?

I just want to preface that I don't want this discussion to derail the present thread.

That said, I disagree with the Five Solas because they conflict with Holy Tradition that was established by Christ and the Apostles. The essence of some of them are noble and are built on good intentions, but when it comes to the nuts and bolts, they are in conflict with the Ancient Faith.

The pillars of it will be removed, for replacement.
"Pillars of earth" are, for one, "electromagnetic forces", called "Winds", which is "currents", in the book of Enoch.

Earth will be turned upside down, seasons will be backwards, earth shall stagger like a drunken man and be removed out of her place and jump about like a chased roe, says the Scripture.
Scripture says earth is fixed in its place and does not revolve, spin, nor rotate, but Scripture says earth will be moved out of its place and seasons backwards and turned upside down in the tribulation.

the koran says of this event, The Day of the Lord, 'the sun rises in the west'.:amen:

We do not use the Koran for doctrine on this site. Anything in it that does agree with the Word of YHWH, given to us through His prophets by His Holy Spirit and in the Person of God the Word, the LORD Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God and is God the Creator come in flesh of second man creation to be our Kinsman/Redeemer, is just stolen to try to sound authentic, but it is not truth. Jesus Is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Anyway, I just wanted to make sure you read the forum rules for posting here.

Back to the OP.
The Word of God does say that:
the earth shall reel to and fro.
The earth shall jump about as a chased roe and shall stagger as a drunken man and be moved out of her place.
The earth will be turned upside down.
Days-daylight will be shortened and nights -darkness will be shortened by one third of their hours. Days will not be 24 hours, but 16 hours long.
