Speaking of the story, one thing struck me as odd but I didn't mention it. Why did the cops shoot the unrelated vehicle, injuring two, in the first place? It gets very glossed over.

Then I found a picture of the truck the cops shot at. Two innocent, unarmed women were inside, and were completely unrelated to their operation.

So... uh... what's the deal here?

This guy shot cops! He's an ex-cop. No way he'll see the inside of a courtroom. Bet on it.

God rest the souls of his victims. And God save his own so that he stops this evil and finds peace. In this life orwhen he comes before the judgment let him be forgiven. Because something went wrong and now there's no turning back.

No, citizens do NOT need guns. Trust the police to save you when those gang members attack you Saturday night. They might not even accidentally shoot you in the process, though you'll likely be deceased prior to their arrival if you are unarmed.
