There's some truth in what you say, but from the wrong angle. It's not so much that they stole the Enuma Elish, but turned it upside down and inside out to make some profound theological points.

Dr John Dickson has a Phd in History and is practising Anglican Minister. He received a letter of congratulation from our former Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, when John opened the Centre for Public Christianity. In other words, he is not a creationist crank, nor a wishy-washy liberal theologian happy to chuck vast chunks of the bible. He's a Christian, and believes the bible to be true. (But does not believe in bad reading)!

Preserving a forgery does not cure it of being a forgery. The Muslims have preserved the Quran which also claims to be a dictation from God. Do you accept this as evidence? The Mormons preserve the Book of Mormon that claims to have come from golden tablets given to Joseph Smith by the angel Moroni. Do you accept that claim as well?

we already know the angels were with Him during our creation, we dont have any real book about their history and where and what their lives were like.

for all we know God may have created a heaven and an earth a zillion thousand times. your talking about an eternal being that our greatest wisdom is foolishness to Him..........I think God's alot bigger than people give Him credit for.........as if this world and a few billion people absorb all His time, when He isnt even affected by time

To all Christians who think climate change is a scam; I'm putting out an emergency prayer request for Australia and especially my home state of NSW and home city of Sydney. We could be facing record mega-fires today.

Over the last decade we have been been facing record heatwaves. However, the last few years of La-Nina have offered some blessed relief from the heat around NSW and Victoria, and plenty of rain. Which in turn creates plenty of growth in the bush, which in turn creates lots of fuel.

Now we're back to close-to-record heatwaves and all that fuel is ready to go. Over thelast few days Tasmania has reported record breaking heatwaves. One family sheltered in the ocean under a wharf to escape the fires, smoke, and falling clouds of burning ash. They had about 20 cm of air to breathe right above the water, and not much more above that... it was all smoke. They held little kids who couldn't swim in the water, trying to keep their heads in that narrow gap of life.

So today that super-heated weather system is moving over NSW. This is global warming in action; skewing the dice ever upwards, pushing the trends, creating catastrophes.

After the Black Saturday fires in Victoria a few years back, we have a new category of bushfire alert. Catastrophic.

Our authorities have sounded the CATASTROPHIC alert for today.

It appears birthpains increase before giving birth, and Jesus isnt here yet, so I concur that you are in error, fatalist as it may be, things get worse before He returns, its just a fact!
