CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Nonsense. Lots and lots and lots and lots of different areas in Science verifys that the Bible is accurate and true. When you get all the different people together from all the different areas of study they all compliment each other and put together a BIG picture showing us that the Bible is accurate and true. No one man can tell the whole story. There is no one branch of science or one expert that can explain all of what there is to explain in the Bible. Evolution shows us the Bible is accurate and true. Botany shows us the Bible is accurate and true, Archeology shows us again and again that the Bible is accurate and ture. The list of expert witnesses just goes on and on and on. All of science shows us that the Bible is accurate and true.

Talk is cheap and so is slander. Put up your evidence. Show us what you got. You have zip, zero, zilch, nothing. I have all of science to back me up. I have many, many, many books written by Phd's the experts that are professors at universities and directors. They can verify that the Bible is accurate and true. Archeology for example is very accurate in telling us who lived in the Euphrates River Valley 6,000 years ago. All of the plants and all of the animals alive at this time. Then the archeology will take the ancient grains they find in the storage bins of the ancient ruins to the lab and study the DNA. They compare the domesticated grains with the wild grains that grown in this part of the world. The experts can tell you a lot about Bible food and the plants we read about in our Bible. It is an amazing and wonderful story to tell. There are people who are experts on ALL the ancient plants that we find in the Middle East and that we read about in our Bible. They can verify that what we read in the Bible is accurate and true.
The cities we read about are real cities. The people are real historic people. This is written history after all. The plants and animals are real plants and animals. This is all true and no one can prove that any of the Bible is NOT accurate and true. The geography is all real. The Tigris and Euphrates are real rivers. There really is a valley between the rivers. This whole area between the rivers really is a flood plain. They call this Mesopotamia or the Mesopotamia valley. The people who lived here were the Sumerians and north of them were the Semitics. Actually the Semitic people got written langage from the Sumerian people. Although they do not tell you that in the Bible. Science helps us to understand our Bible.
One archeology book I read said they found 45 little tiny cities from people who were living back at this time and were farming and living the new life as farmer producer. Although we still have hunter gather people today in Africa and Australia and different parts of the world. Just like you can go to some areas in India today and find temples that are very much like the pagan temples we read about in the Bible.

Oh really? Care to give us an example of where the Bible is true? Giving references to places and or historical figures, towns, cities, tribes, etc in no way constitutes as valid evidence as we have many works of fiction that refer to existing and real places, peoples, etc.
Now show me how science validates Genesis for a start!

I have given you lots and lots and lots and lots of scientific evidence that the Bible is accurate and true. I have given you book after book that can verify that the Bible is accurate and true. NOW it is your turn. NOW the ball is in your court and it is time for you to produce your evidence to show me that anything is not accurate and true that we read in the Bible. Produce your DNA evidence as I have produced DNA evidence. Evidence that will stand up in a court of all. Produce your evidence from Archeology. Get your Botany experts to show us the Bible is not accurate and true. You can not do it. You have zip, zero, zilch and you can come up with nothing at all to back up your claims. Yet I have huge, huge, huge amounts of scientific evidence, research and study. Documented and peer reviewed to back up what I am saying.
Let me give you an example. I bought a old outdated book that talks about how in 1968 there was a Research Seminar in Archaeology and Related Subjects at the Institute of Archaeology at London University. They gathered people together from archaeological, anthropological, biological and different fields of science to compare notes on the domestican of plants and animals. All that science knows today and compares notes on is confirmed by the Bible. Their research and study can show us that the Bible is accurate and true. All of these different experts from all the different branches of study in science can verify that the Bible is accurate and true. This book was actually a reference book for the archaeology library at Leeds University. It feels kinda funny to buy a referance book that was not suppose to be checked out of the Library. Still they have many different people from many different areas of science comparing notes on this subject and giving what at the time was up to date information. Of course DNA research is a lot more up to date now. But DNA only confirms what they knew back then to be true and accurate. I actually have a lot of books here on the domestication of plants and animals in the Middle East. So I know what a lot of the experts have to say about it. Some of the leading experts now on this area of study.
What do you got for me? Nothing, zip, zero, zilch. Not one expert, not one peer reviewed article, nothing.

I just went through and read EVERY SINGLE POST of yours in this entire thread. You only ever made unsupported claims or claimed that the Bible said such-and-such, therefore it is true.

Back when? In 1968? Yes, the basics about genetics were known back then. Back when they wrote the Bible? Please. They're the people who thought that if a mummy goat looked at a striped pole before she gave birth her baby goats would have striped fur. Does modern science support this?
Why don't you provide names of these "leading experts" who claim that the Bible contains information that modern science is now beginning to support?
All you've done is make vague claims that the Bible describes truth, but the only truth it describes is what was known to the people of the time. A particular city existed. if you chop someone's head off, they tend to die. That sort of thing.
You've never produced a single concrete example of something only recently discovered that is clearly referred to in the Bible.

Actually when it comes to the domestication of plants and animals in the middle east this is the only book you will need. You can compare this book with the Bible and you will read about all the same plants. I am sure people will say. Of course the plants and animals in the Bible are real plants and animals. There is more to it then that. The plants and animals in the Bible are domesticated plants and animals. For all you evolutionists out there domestication is a part of evolution. So the Bible has a lot of information about this subject. There are of course many books on the domestication of plants and animals. This book just centers on the Middle East. Like the Bible centers on the Middle East and what they call the biodiverse ecosystem we fine there. They do have a third edition with more recent DNA studies. That confirms this edition.
We have DNA from three places. First from Archeology. Ancient grains that they find in ruins they study from 6 to 10 thousand years ago. There is NO evidence of any domestication of plants before 10,000 years ago. Then they have the DNA of the wild plants before they were domesticated. Also they have the DNA of the plants that people are actually eating today. Actually they say there is a BIG difference between the wild plant and the domesticated plant. The main thing is all the plants we read about in the Bible written 3700 years ago are indeed domesticated plants. DNA can confirm that. If you want to accept that a place called Eden existed or not. Because Eden was in the Euphrates River Valley, a known flood plain. This just so happens to be the place were plants and animals were domesticated 6,000 years ago, if you believe in Eden or not. Same place, same location, same time, same plants, same animals. All of those are confirmed to be accurate and true. They are what we call recorded history. We have 45 farming communities that they have found in this part of the world dating back to the beginning of farming.
The Bible says there was a Garden in Eden at this time in this place. Science says all the plants and animals we read about in the Bible were domesticated at this time and in this place. If you do not think Adam and Eve did it fine. If you do not think there was a garden in Eden fine. People everywhere have a garden in their backyard. But I guess Adam and Eve did not have one. Even though Science says there were 45 farming communities at this time and in this place. THIS is where is all began.
If you get a chance the Jw's have books on paradise lost and paradise found. God's plan was for Eden to grow and fill the world. God is still going to restore this world and we will once again have an Eden. Of course the Devil does not want anyone to know about Eden and God's plan of restoration. That is why the devil fights against the truth and the word of God.
