Isn't this a form of witchcraft?

When some churches tell you to receive a prayer cloth so you can rub on it and feel on it to get Gods anointing????
There's Biblical precedent for "prayer cloths";
Acts 19:11-12 (AMP)
And God did unusual and extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, So that handkerchiefs or towels or aprons which had touched his skin were carried away and put upon the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.

There were people taking personal items from Paul to others, and those people were getting healed. That was witchcraft was it? There does seem to be situation in which God, for some reason, decided to attach an annointing to.

Still, it is not about the item is it?

So I always recommend talking to our Lord and listening to what He has to say. If He tells you to pray over a cloth, do it. If He tells you to take a cloth that has been prayed for to someone else, do it.

The important part is seeking Him and His words spoken to you. Fear Him, and so turn to Him. Let us not fear the devil, that might actually make us fearful of turning to our loving God and listening to what He has to say to us.

I agree, you cant trust everyone and need the Lord guidance on what to accept.

Maybe. As some have already pointed out, there is Biblical precedent, but I've seen some Christians who are more superstitious than trusting of God. As you said, discernment may be in order there.

sometimes yes sometimes no

It is mentioned in the Bible but some people use it to get money and mislead and for wrong reasons and then it could be considered witchcraft.

If used legitimately because someone cant get to somewhere to get prayer and someone then prays over a cloth and it is taken to the sick person with good reasons and for encouragement then i think its probably not witchcraft then. God's anointing did rest on prayer cloths in the Bible.

Whether one is used or not its good to remember God doesnt need a prayer cloth to work from a distance in someones life. God is God and loves us and can intervene in someone's life through a simple fervant prayer from a righteous person regardless of where the person needing a touch from the Lord is.

always good to be careful though, and when some use the anointing word, to self promote, listen to your heart, if their is pride there, it is not of God.

Ex 7:11 Then Pharaoh summoned the wise men and the sorcerers, and they, the magicians of Egypt, also did the same by their secret arts. 12 For each man cast down his staff, and they became serpents. But Aaron's staff swallowed up their staffs.

sometimes people can be uncomfortable with something (and should be) because it is being used wrongly.
Sometimes not always. that's where the spirit of God within us bearing witness comes in at I promise it's not ALL evil. to generalize it all to make sound like it is. Is in reality calling evil good and good evil. Be careful doing that.

Plus not everyone have the power of God, I have seen many odd things given to my dad through ministry and it never did anything for him.

Some are right, it was indeed done at least once in the scriptures. The key to that was that God actually healed people with the cloth.

If there is no healing, it wasn't from God.

If the person providing the cloth stated it is annointed, and it wasn't an annointing from God resulting in the healing, that leaves few remaining choices.

1. That person flat out lied, and there is no annointing.
2. There is a real annointing, but not one from God. Rather a gift from the other team.

Sad thing is, even if there is a healing, it still doesn't prove it's from God. Then you have to judge the message of the person providing the cloth. If they teach the scriptures correctly, good deal, if they do not, and actually lead away from the clear revelation of the gospel, then they are also from the other team.

And if it's not from God, avoid the person who provided it, basically forever.

4. The anointing was only for a specific person for a specific time
5. Someone misspell anointing and G-d left.
6. Someone used the cloth to manipulate someone else
7. ...

What? Really? I guess that's what Jesus did to anyone who made a mistake.
