CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think God is just and he's the judge of all mankind. I don't wish to condemn or judge anyone. But God does say that Homosexuals as with all people must repent and turn to Him through His Son Jesus Christ who paid the penalty of death that all mankind deserves. We are all evil after all. God said so, and just look around, hes right.

I don't wish to judge or condemn anyone. But i will say this- God says we all deserve death if i'm not mistaken.
But he loves us anyway. That's why we still breath, he bears with all mankind and hopes we will come to Christ and be born again by His Spirit.

God allows even the most evil people live so that they can have time to repent. That's how much he loves us.

God speaks to my heart, he gives me hope and love that is real to me. He can speak to yours too if you seek Him. It may not be apparent at first but in time you can hear him. He speaks through scriptures and preachers first, then he tugs at our heart and asks us to seek Him. This is all i now and its enough for me.

In my case, God speaks through Life itself first and always. As such, I see Life as the only Holy Scripture directly written by the hand of God and signed off with His own signature.

Yes i do because God said so, but God loves us and doesn't want to let us die in the next life, he only said that we deserve death because we are all proud and loveless, we care only for ourselves and not Him or each other. We don't love each other and to him that makes us guilty. What we deserve isn't the main point though, what God is offering us is. He offers us eternal life instead of just this short life we now live.

If you are going to claim that people choose to be gay, just as someone can choose to lie or commit adultery, then you ought to be prepared to answer that question.

What i meant was that we choose to be sinners, we can either come to Him and hope in Him and His salvation through Christ or we can remain sinners. That's what we choose

Carl Jung said this, and I feel he is exactly right:
If our religion is based on salvation, our chief emotions will be fear and trembling.
If our religion is based on wonder, our chief emotion will be gratitude.
That's easy to see. And the rejection of the salvation based religions are often the reason that people become atheist.
In my Love for God, it wasn't until I was freed from those images of Hell, Damnation and of a Judgmental God that I became freed spiritually. Historically, the salvation based religions have caused some of the worst atrocities most damage to humanity.
