I LOVE that siggie~ it is adorable (you know me LOL) and your coffee bean greeting is neat too

The heat and humidity is SOOOO draining; we get very little done here, and if we do anything we just DRIP

Yup...FALL will be great when it comes this year for sure!

This has been a tad cooler day...but the worst is coming...

We don't get much done in humid heat either...nor have the ummph to try to do much.

We got the freezer cleaned out, I cleaned the plantation shutters in my office and cleaned out some more storage...probably will sit the rest of the day...then cook pork chops for dinner.

I thought of you Gail when i found this photo...very cool and restful.

Very pretty! We sure do need 'cool and restful' today ~ it is hitting 100 with oppressive humidity, and strong storms blowing up out of nowhere. Thanks

I'll be heading to Church in the next hour; I pray we don't need to close up the house because of storms; it will be so hot in here (hotter than it already is)
For some reason I have been very anxious about that; not closing up and having the inside of the house damaged by wind driven rain.

The last time we didn't close up, and a parishioner came in and said it was BLACK our near my way.
I was a wreck the whole Mass....and we never got the storm

My nerves aren't as strong as they used to be it seems, and I find I can be anxious and indecisive at times.

Lord, have mercy; I AM trying! :o

I find I can get nervous and broody too...we hear so many BAD things these days...from all around the world.

Those storms in the east have been deadly...lots of wind, lightening, etc....also seem to happen very suddenly.

That heat and humidity is nothing to ignore...it is terrible to live in....

I know...I am a little ahead of you Gail. I just lie on the floor a lot when our heat and humidity get too bad here. Put a wet cloth around my neck and wait for Fall.

If you have 'privacy' ... you could quickly cool yourself
~by spongeing your body with a wet flannel ...allow it to evaporate

# Leave some water in the bath /basin [for the purpose]

I used to do this to my children when they were feverish 103-104.F
it is very effective... warm water too!
The faster it evaporates, the more heat is lost with it

Hello Eagles - have a great weekend. We're going to enjoy a quiet and almost cool weekend indoors. Our air-conditioner hasn't been able to keep up with the 112F plus temperatures outside, but we can at least get it down to 86F inside and use fans. Just think about what folks did before electricity.

I use wet face cloths on my neck or the gel packs when it really gets bad; cool showers are refreshing too

It is very quiet in here today; everyone must be out enjoying good weather (I hope)

I will be offline for the rest of this day, most likely.
We have a heavy line of string storms approaching within the hour, and the storm threat will continue through tomorrow morning,
as a strong front comes through (bringing relief to the heat and humidity).

My daughter, her new beau, and our 2 grandsons are also coming for a chicken BBQ within the hour.
She is making potato salad, hubby made cucumber salad with cukes from his garden, and we have corn on the cob,
with strawberry shortcake for dessert

Hi Gail...I went out, tried to go to church, but i left...I cannot stand the loud music anymore...I was pretty upset...guess my heart really is with a certain online ministry, their teaching and music...Iam going to quit thinking about plugging in to a local church...then i don't have to worry about my personal health problems so much either...
Plus, it is a lot hotter today and more humid...don't have to tell you that it is not so great to be out and about.

I did get a walk with Gracie in last night after dark...not sure we can do that today tho...the weather has changed for the worse.
