this band
I can't believe I didn't even think to bring up this point before.... Look up the band "Junkyard Prophets".
They're a Christian Rock Band that got into trouble a few months ago by playing a show in a high school. They separated the girls and boys, and preached to them about how women should be submissive and subservient to men, and spread hate speech about homosexuals.
They are a part of the "You can run but you cannot hide" Christian youth ministry founded by Bradlee Dean, who has made statements along the lines of:
1. Gays and Lesbians should be imprisoned
2. Gay Men molest an average of 117 children before they get caught
3. Muslim nations that execute gays are more moral than American Christians.
In your example, they use an image of a burning church. To me, that's no more than a protest image, much like burning a flag. Obviously I don't agree with actually burning churches down, and I'd be surprised if that's what they're advocating. If they are advocating burning churches, then I would denounce them and call them a danger to society. I'd be inclined to believe they are making a statement against Christianity in the same way that burning a flag is a statement against a particular country.
They also couldn't use the image of a burning cross, as that was already taken by that "fine Christian organization" known as the KKK.
In this bands case, these are clear messages on what they actually advocate. And it's some sick and twisted immoral garbage.
