• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So apparently nobody actually believes in creationism.

You said we had discovered the missing link. "Something close to" sounds like nothing more than speculation.

It's more like an educated guess. That species seems to share some characteristics with us, but not the necessary ones to be considered an ancestor. At least they're honest about not knowing. :D

I do not want to see what they consider to be a transition. I want to see thousands of them. There are hundreds of thousands of known fossils from the Cambrian Explosion, but NO transitions. They have not changed from the beginning, when they first show up to the end when they go extinct.

Isa 46 10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.

There's a lot here in handy pictorial form, because there's no way you'd read even one thing on that list of fine scientific papers.

List of transitional fossils - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Now it's time for you to move the goalposts...this list is only going to increase in length....

I do not want to see what they consider to be a transition.

You want to see what you consider to be a transition, but given that your understanding of the concept is basically zero, judging from previous posts, you're going to remain disappointed, because you don't even know what you're looking for or the right places to look.

It's kind of like reading the Bible to find where Waldo is.

Amen, Norman. We all should see millions of transition to this day; but not one single transition has been found to substantiate a common ancestor for all biological lifeforms; especially the ape-to-man transition.

No literally. Page 24. Just before Sky Writing. I responded to one of your posts.

Are you referring to post # 237 on 27th May 2012, 05:43 PM?

If so, which particular statement in that post are you referring to?

We have no proof; just evidence. (See what I did there?)

Evidence is fine. A jury often ponders a lot of it before casting a vote.
And the judge is not completely bound by the vote.

Yes I am. And whichever you can answer. My favorite bit was the list of "Creationist scientists."

What is so hard to understand for those that are confused. God is truth. Scientist's seek after truth. All true scientist's seek after God. An ultimate desire, to find God. To prove God. All believers in God have held their own. None have ever been able to defeat them. And yet your promoting "atheism"? All that believe in God have defeated "atheism" already. "atheism" is like pushing your fingers to your ears and yelling, "la la la la". Discover this and discover a deeper truth. :)

Scientists do seek truth. Just don't be so sad when they find something that may conflict with your firmly held beliefs

I agree that God has created all biological life to change to a certain extent to their surrounding environment; however, all biological life have limits that prevented them from changing into a different kind of creature. Evolution says given billions of years, one species can evolve into an entirely different species altogether. For example, a fish to a frog to a bird or to a horse. I submit that God has created biological life with boundaries that prevent them from making those kinds of changes no matter how much time they are given. Evolutionists says that all live evolved from a single life form given billions of years; I say that a fish, a frog, a horse, and man will will not change outside their kind if given billion of years times trillions of years times trillion of years from now, because of God's boundaries on the species.

I have no doubt that there are limits to each of the "Kinds" mentioned in the scriptures. But no person has the time or the resources to test the limits to determine what those are. So to argue the point is moot and we creationists should stop doing it. No matter what the Creationist literature and lecturers say. And I've read a lot of it.
