How many times must it be explained to you? God is only responsible for the good things that happen,
why do you think Satan was invented? Satan is there to carry the can for all the bad things that happen,
horrible birth defects and such are always put down to Satan, never God, come on it's not rocket science.
Are you a dualist?

If not, your point can take a hike.

If so, your point can take a hike.

Sounds like Dylan now.

"But you're gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You're gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody."

You may be a preacher with your spiritual pride,
You may be a city councilman taking bribes on the side,
You may be workin' in a barbershop, you may know how to cut hair,
You may be somebody's mistress, may be somebody's heir

It's not only AV who does it, they all do it, it's the only way they can stop their brains from exploding.
Care to answer my question? or are you just here to vent & ridicule?

You may be an Internet scientist with your questions miniscule,
Or you may be here just to vent and ridicule,
You may be here to boast you know more than us and brag,
But in effect, you're all nothing more than the devil's windbag.

What is a duelist?
I said 'dualist.'

Dualism: the doctrine that there are two independent divine beings or eternal principles, one good and the other evil.

Remember saying this?
How many times must it be explained to you? God is only responsible for the good things that happen,
why do you think Satan was invented? Satan is there to carry the can for all the bad things that happen,
horrible birth defects and such are always put down to Satan, never God, come on it's not rocket science.

I asked my doctor and she said they are different. I checked a few books and got the same impression.
Doctors work on the physical body and not with the soul. Expand your inquiry a bit, ask the mystics and see what they say.

Lol
The pagans might, but everyone else at least accepts Jesus as a great teacher.
The Mayans were converted by force by the Spanish.
That is not an option, Jesus could not have been a great teacher.
He was either the son of god or a fraud, the bible just doesn't give you any other option I'm afraid.
Noah saved all the animals in Eden. He preserved a biodiverse hotspot. According to science and the theory of evolution there was a biodiversity hotspot ecosystem in the Middle east. The Bible calls this hotspot Eden or the Garden of Eden. It is still a very rich farming area today.
Noah didn't live in Eden, humans were barred, remember?
I am not aware of any such hotspot in evolutionary theory, perhaps you can enlighten me.
If you are correct, then marsupials must have lived in the midde east, and then migrated to Australia & New Zealand (and USA) without leaving a trail anywhere in Africa or Europe.
Same for polar bears.
And Monotremes.
I asked my doctor and she said they are different. I checked a few books and got the same impression.
Life and death can only be the same if there is a spirit world, and some essence of life continues for eternity.
This does bring in some intersting options as to what happens before birth.....
Why does anyone ever need to serve anyone?
Only a people being persecuted and dominated by a foreign power (with foreign gods) could possibly see servitude as a good thing.

Google is your friend. I already gave you the key words to use. Middle East Biodiversity Hot Spot. Here is a link that maybe of interest.

Biodiversity Hotspots - Mediterranean - Unique Biodiversity

"Of the 22,500 species of vascular plants in this hotspot, approximately 11,700 (52 percent) are found nowhere else in the world. "

Google is not really a friend, he desn't always direct you to the truth.

Madagascar is also a biodiverstiy hotspot; around 90% of its wildlife is found nowhere else on earth.

Does this mean that Madagascar is more important than the middle east?

And I specifically asked what this has to do with evolutionary theory.

Did this thread EVER deal with the original question:

Which Experiment disproved the Flood?

Why would anyone need to "disprove" a phenomenon which can't be denied: Floods happen today and they happened in ancient times.

If the original poster meant "the idea of a GLOBAL FLOOD", the Bible itself never claims that Noah's Flood involved the entire planet. The Hebrew text only says KOL ERETZ, "the entire land". The Bible says that all mankind was destroyed in that land (the entire world which Noah knew), but while the English word EARTH can SOMETIME carry the planet-wide meaning, a "global earth" or "the planet earth" is very difficult to strain from the ancient Hebrew word.

Indeed, even today, ERETZ ISRAEL refers to "The Nation of Israel" or "the Land of Israel" but never to "The Planet Israel"!

So the burden of proof is on the original poster: Where is your evidence that EITHER the evidence from the Bible or the evidence from science "proves" a global flood?

And if you think that some experiment will help your case, describe your experiment. You are making the claim of a global flood so you need to produce Biblical evidence for it and scientific evidence for it.

(Why do the "creation science" people always want someone else to do the work when they make a ridiculous claim?)

...

I do not think CTD is participating in our discussions here at this time, but I will take a shot at it.

There was a creationist by the name of Ken or Kent something that proposed mixing a bunch of different materials in a tub of water, and letting it stand to observe how the different materials settle into layers. I believe the intent was to show how the layers as seen in the Grand Canyon could have been created in relatively short order by a global flood.

I remember following this, noting that they never actually showed themselves doing the experiment.

As it turns out, when you do this experiment, the materials don't sort themselves out as they asserted they would. That would explain the absence of demonstrations.

However, I did see a reference to this on a creationist website:

Creation Liberty - Geological Evidence of the Global Flood

Note that they admit that they did not use actual sedimentary-type materials, but went a "downtown mall" to get the picture for the web site.

It has been a long time since I have seen one of these, but it is called a 'Magic Window', and it is constructed of materials specifically designed to create the fast layering effect ("hydrologic sorting" as they refer to it) that cannot be produced with typical sedimentary materials in water.

I was conversing with a paleontologist recently and she expressed her disgust with creationists in general but ESPECIALLY for their never doing any real research or experiments of their own to contribute to the scientific knowledge. They simply watch for scientific data which they can grab and misuse. She called them "data parasites."

LOL....

The 'earth' is not-'round' but is more rotund about it's waist [equator]
The alps and mountains of this planet were once upon a time very modest
[100's of feet above sea-level]
Anyone who did not live high in the mountains, would have had-to RUN very fast

Global warming, is cyclical

Between the ice ages, there IS more water, on the planet surface

Apparently, only the landmass of Greenland /Iceland contain ORIGINAL ROCK
[from the days when the earth first formed]
All other landmasses, have been reworked [repeatedly] by geological processes
including have shared 'time' on the seabed of one ocean /sea or, another
and, even several

The large number of cities, now on the seabed, in various parts of the world
are testament to inundation [flooding]
by rising sea levels /of land sinking, while other areas became uplifted
