Don't forget now!

Spend some time on Mark 11:22-25. Meditate on it. Think about it. Read it again.

And again, and again.

So you can do it.

Josh 1:8

8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
KJV

I think I'm with Miley on this one. Sometimes youz explode your mountainz, sometimes you climb them because it's good for you. Still, it's hard to makes objective statements bout metaphors, non?

No!

Still trying to climb it are ya.

Why not just give in and obey Jesus and learn to speak to it!:)

Actually, yep, climbed one just yesterday with the help from our Lord.

Since our Lord told us to speak to them.

What scripture do you use to climb them?:)

You asked if we had that mountain climbed yet, and I answered.

Considering we were never told that life was going to be easy as a Christian, that alone speaks to how we are to climb mountains. I don't know the exact scripture that says life won't be easy.

Tell me, how does speaking to an issue and having it removed mold you into the person that God wants you to be?

I will never speak to a mountain, I prefer to climb them and will copntinue to do so with our Lord's help.

It's the troubles that we face that mold you into the person that God wants you to be, the trials that we face and overcome with His help.

Maybe this is why I could never identify with Charismatics and pulled my wife from her Charismatic church.

Has climbing those mountains in my life been difficult at times? Sure has been, but I am thankful for them because it has molded me into the person that I am today.

They have made me a better person and better Christian. They continue to mold me into the man and Christian that God wants me to be and I have His help along the way.

Here ya go. I prayed and asked for a reminder on the scripture that speaks to your question above and I was reminded of this scripture:

2 Corinthians 12:8-10

King James Version (KJV)

8For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

That doesn't say anything about climbing mountains!

That tells us to take the grace God has given us(what that grace is as revealed in His Word) and use it.

In the case of mountains that grace is the authority to speak to mountains, not climb them.:)

if you can not see the value in persevering under trial, which Paul often speaks about and see that that is 'climbing' then you have some funny ideas about the Christian life. Jesus did not speak to His mountain - the Cross but endured it for the prize set before Him. Just like we persever like Him in the trials we are brought to and through by His grace and following His example. If Jesus were to follow your advice we would have no salvation for our sins... think about it a little.

ps in the original greek the word mountain in Mark 11 means a literal mountain. can you give me evidence that you have literally moved a literal mountain? because if we are to take scripture literally that is what the word 'mountain' in Mark 11 is - a literal mountain.
have you ever moved one of those usung the 'faith teaching' you give others Optimax?

have you ever moved a literal mountain or
cursed a fig tree so that it died o?

You must have missed my above post.

I talked about trees.

Literal mountains are not what Jesus is referring to.

Has any Christian even had a need to move a literal mountain?

I don't know.

All of us have the need to remove the "mountains" that life places in our path.

Jesus said for us to speak to them. :)

are you sure Jesus was not meaning a literal mountain? do you not believe what Jesus said about faith as small as a mustard seed being all we need to move a literal mountain. He said it in Mark 11:22-25.

In the original language the word that Jesus used was ὄρει which means mountain in english ie. mountain... literally. But it sounds like you might disagree with Jesus that we cant move literal mountains by faith even though Jesus said we could.

Is your interpretation of the Bible only metaphorical? If so you are missing a whole layer of Bible interpretation in your take on this scripture. Other scriptures you take literally why not this one?

There are also other interpretations of this passage of scripture which say that Jesus was referring to the religious system of the day being overthrown when He talked about moving mountains by His disciples having faith in Him not in legalism for salvation. Do you disagree with this being a possible interpretation also? I can give you links to this interpretation if you like.

are you open to other interpretations of this passage of scripture or only your own?

Faith as small as a mustard seed is a part of how faith works.
