ps 8.2 "From the mouth of infants and nursing babes You have established strength Because of Your adversaries, To make the enemy and the revengeful cease.

Jewish Bible has
ps 8.2 "From the mouths of babies and infants at the breast you established strength because of your foes, in order that you might silence the enemy and the avenger."

This differs significantly from the septuagint, "perfected praise" which in Mathew 21, the people were singing to the Lord, giving Him praise.

To establish strength is not to perfect praise.

Again, the masoretic text, a text used in subsequent english translations, has a change in the wording. Something not right.

No offense but so what? If this is a prophecy about the messiah, which I do not believe it is, it is basically meaningless and would not require a rewrite. You are grasping at straws to show something. What we have is a translation problem.

I've read some of the Urantia Book and it makes FAR more sense than any of this.

Nah. If I remember correctly, the samaritan pentateuch has the septuagint rendition. The gospels are a historical biography and the scene shows children singing praises to the Lord, exactly as prophesied in Ps 8. The singing caused the enemy (priests) to be silent.

You are having us change our scripture in order to hide some sort of "prophecy" instead of saying that it could be a simple transcription or translation problem? To be honest, without reading Matthew, our sages would have no idea about it and I really do not think the sages spent their time pouring over the New Testament. As much as it may pain some Christians to think, Jews in that era did not care about Christians. It was a small blip on the radar.

You expect us to setup a world where gentiles are punished for not obeying the Torah. You expect us to kill gentiles. You expect us to pull behind a false messiah that will enact these violent policies. Yet, you do not think us evil?
