Ya think he noticed? :)
that...was... my... point... Your belief in god/s is based on tautological premises.

In essence, you've made a claim, wrote a book supporting your claim, then preach your claim is correct because your book says so.

This is a logical fallacy, and no reason to base a 'faith' on.

I will simply answer the thread title ;)

I dont believe in evolution because I will never accept that I came from a monkey! :sorry: I am too beautiful to be an ape descendant! :p

So, in short, you don't accept evolution because you don't understand it.

"Nothing comes from nothing, nothing ever will."

There has to be a God, whatever you call Him, be it the Force, or whatever, Who started this so-called Big Bang. A Big Bang cannot just happen. This universe is so mind-boggling; it is so wonderful, that a Supreme Being must have created it and sustained it so that the stars do not crash each other into oblivion.

Yes, I am a believer, in fact, atheists are also believers because they believe in evolution.

If God has directed some types of adapted radiation, then He is to be praised for His creation.
I do not believe in mindless evolution, but God-directed genetic variation.
In the case of man, I do believe that God directly intervened in creating man, because a manipulation of the DNA is very evident.
We are not just merely apes that have undergone some DNA changes. We have the ability to reason and create things ourselves, which is a sign that we are created in the Divine Image and Likeness.

Uh, I don't "believe" in evolution. I accept evolution as the best explanation of the data we have. That makes me no more of a believer then understanding how an internal combustion engine works makes on a believer. :)

Yes, a simple tool that some animals can make.

But the key is, they do not have a opposable thumb, the ability to walk upright and carry things, and they lack a sophisticated written and oral language.

Sure, you will mention the language of apes and bees, but the language of apes MUST BE TAUGHT, and their youth do not vary the language as we see in human populations. Yes, I earned my degrees in linguistics, and that is where most of the meaningful research is currently being done.

So... in other words, you don't accept common descent because you don't like it. Is your liking something a requirement for it being true?

Actually, crows do have a sophisticated language.

Language of the American Crow, Corvus brachyrhynchos.

We have crows in our yard, so I have observed their "Language."

Crow-speak is a very simple language, and it is not creative with infinite possibilities like human language. And I am referring to Chomsky's writings, who is notoriously not a theist.

Yes, it is a very simple language. And the implications that you are trying to draw from this are what exactly?

Not really dear. Plain understanding of something and believing in something that you undestood are two different things.

I simply put on my Faith in God.

Well here's the stickler for me? Why are any apes even left if we evolved from apes? Was there a "pause" in the evolution process? A flaw? Were some apes just stubborn and ran from it, time-traveled from it? Please explain. Anyone. Thank you kindly.

The same reason you're cousins are still around even though they both came from the same common ancestors.

Wait. So apes must be taught & you were taught... nhaa too easy.

No, I was not TAUGHT my first language.

Obviously you have neither studied advanced linguistics nor read any of Noam Chomsky.

My first language was not learned, nor taught to me.
I was immersed into my first language and genetically predisposed to pick up the language. Apes do not have this genetic predisposition, as they must be taught sign language by human contact, which is a very time consuming process.

Crows (birds) also are genetically programmed to pick up their language. However, their language is very limited without the infinite capabilities of humans. As Chomsky has stated, we have the CREATIVE WORD. Unknown to him, is that this creative Word is the Infinite Word of God, Jesus Christ.

Interesting that our language does EVOLVE and change.
