Getting out of the heat Summer thread!

sounds great. I tossed some breaded chicken fillets in the oven and had chicken sandwich. Was a nice treat. I want to start being a bit more creative with cooking. Find some more recipes that freeze well. This way Ill have healthy things on hand for days I am too tired or need to do other chores. Need to get a good routine in place.

when it's sunny, it's really hot, and when it rains, its a thunder storm --with flood almost everywhere!

Good morning, what a wonderful day the Lord has made. I actually got almost 8 hrs of sleep last night, can't remember the last time that's happened. I guess I was tired.

Well....I know that I have shirked on this thread and I hope that you all understand. Between juggling 17 teens and schedules....new meds that sometimes puts me over the edge and just needing sleep.....then on the Oct 14th talked with my mom and on the 15th got a call that she had a massive heart attack and was put into a coma....two days later she was considered brain dead. Needless to say.....it's been a long road of emotions as she was truly one of my best friends!
So if you could pray for me and my dad we would really appreciate it. My dad's name is Jim. So I stayed with my dad for two weeks to get him acclimated to my mom not being there and help him through some of the cooking and all of that.
I will try and be around a bit more often if I can!
