If a murderer tells you s/he is a saint, do you call them a saint that murders people, or do you call them a murderer? I know someone may say some form of the former just to argue, but realistically speaking: think about what you are saying.
Hitler claimed to be Christian, yet he murdered millions with no remorse. That is not a Christian.
The Catholic Church use its own personal "religious" army (called Jesuits) to violently "evangelize" black/brown-person countries. Part of this violent radicalization of "religion" was the Inquisition. That is not Christian.
Even Christ, the one we base our faith on (the one you don't believe in yet have an staunch opinion about) said this:
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

I understand that you are not a believer, so you may not even know what a real Christian is. You are probably used to seeing TBN/Televangelism, or hearing hypocritical people claim to be Christian, and it confuses you. But get it straight if one murder someones, and it isn't remorseful, even fetuses (because though they cant survive outside the womb, they have heartbeats which means they live,) that person is guilty, and not Christian. If someone lies without repenting, they are not Christian. They are liars. And, understand this also: repentance isn't saying "I'm Sorry God!" then continuing on doing whatever you were doing. Repentance is making a change in your heart to do right. So, I hope you don't believe the claptrap that Christians only have to say "forgive me" and they can continue to do x-y-z...
