Just thought you may wanna know. The bible doesn't really mention a Sunday. Anyways there's a site called remnantofGod that once told me about the 144,000 (I think. Could be a wrong number) but my friend says that's a Jehovah's witness thing. Are they Christian or something else? Either way them saying 'such and such will be saved and billions more will go to hell' bugs me even if its a rough estimate 'cause you don't know how much will be saved, period. Whilst I like how they define hell as supposedly 'you die that's it' rather then people being burnt forever, pretty much anything to do with end times scares me. Also a friend is ill, please pray for her. My first thread so sorry if I sound like gibberish here.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Right about Saturday being the sabbath, but though Sunday is not mentioned as such, it is the First day of the week --which is the resurrection of Jesus, the Christ. It is Him we should remember and worship as the early Christians did --He who overcame death and the grave and arose victorious for our eternal hope the First day. Receive Him and you will do well. Don't worry about what the JW's say, or anyone apart from the clear Word of God.

The 144,000 refers to the saved from the 12 tribes of Israel. 12,000 from each tribe (Revelation 7:4-8). It also says that there will a great multitude that no-one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language. This represents the untold millions of Gentiles saved (Revelation 7:9).
Keep away from the Jehovah's Witnesses as they are non Christian cult and follow a false doctrine.
As for hell; the fire is a symbol of suffering caused by unforgiven sin it is not a literal fire.
