How the Ark was ventilated.

I find that saddening.

Yet i only touched on one of the things that makes it impossible, the first and most clear thing would of course be that the size of such a boat would have to be so great that it would be impossible to build it even today with todays technology. Not even the biggest of todays ships would even come close.

There are scores of posts that explain why a 500' wooden boat, unreinforced by steel, would not be able to float without opening itself up. Ye Arkists argue from ignorance.. magic wood, magic this, magic that.

500' wouldn't be enough to cover even a minority of "two of all", 100 000' wouldn't be enough either (unless there is evolution involved which happened after that which would make these people believe in some kind of evolution that there is no scientific evidence NOR biblical mention of)

Not to mention that the natural food chain would effectively eliminate all but the predators on board.

But i get your point and i'll stop arguing about it since it's hopeless anyway.

They say 500'. Lots of ad hoc arguments and special pleading (e.g., the animals were small)

Wait, what?

Don't the animals have to be huge anyway, with the increased atmosphere, and the firmament, and the dinosaur fossils planted by Satan to test us...

The world was smaller then, about the size of a billiard ball.
There's one philosophy that says the entire universe was once smaller than the pointed end of a sewing needle.

That's sweet, AV -- you're repeating something you heard someone else say.

Pity it doesn't mean squat in a discussion about the Ark myth -- I thought this was your area of expertise?

It is -- I just didn't want to repeat myself again.

The [imagined] problem with space on the Ark, as I have said before, can easily be explained in one of two major ways:

  1. The Ark was a TARDIS* booth.
  2. Only a handful of [now extinct] animals boarded it.
* Time And Relative Dimensions In Space

Almost as bad as relying on your theology.

So, Noah was completely wasting his time building the thing to God's specs, is that it?
Of course he wasn't.

Were the Hebrews wasting their time marching around Jericho?

Of course he wasn't.

If God had instead instructed Noah to count pebbles in the desert while He took care of the whole thing, would that have been a waste of time?

Were the Hebrews wasting their time marching around Jericho?

Without a doubt, they were -- but let's try to stay on topic here; the flood, remember?

And therein is your blindspot.

You cannot measure the history of the earth on the day it was created, because the earth had no history.

No, according to you their was billions of years of history on the day it was created.
