CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Predictably eccentric and honestly hypocritical
IJWTS- that I went to a softball game with my sis last night and nearly froze to death. But the upside is that I got to wear my new bright yellow scarf and it was very useful for keeping my neck from turning blue.
And combos and dark chocolate are a (weird) good mix.

IJWTS that I'm not sure if any of you remembering me mentioning a family that lives in Texas who's baby drowned in the womb two weeks before the due date due to the placenta bursting well the funeral is today. Please keep the family and my brother (he is doing the funeral) in your prayers. Thank you.

I can't imagine not praying, KWIM? I am praying especially for their faith not to be rocked too hard through this. I knew a couple back home who lost a baby at birth due to a birth defect that they knew of ahead of time. The husband was prayerful, but the wife was insistent that God was going to heal their baby. Well, He did - by bringing the baby home to His angels - obviously not the outcome the mother so desperately wanted. It shook her faith to the core. So yeah - def. praying.
