  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

63 degrees, cloudy but it's supposed to clear. Highs should get into the 80s.

I hope the spell of really hot weather is over for a bit. The blower motor is going out, and that means no reliable air conditioning in the truck until I get that fixed.

Wow Kaykay!

It hasn't been bad here in the northeast this week after the front passed and knocked down the humidity...@ 80
We have a water ban in place, and can use the rain too, but none is expected in our area until (maybe) the weekend

Well, praying you get some needed rain. Our area needs still more. This summer is hot even for "Texas standards" ...although I have seen hotter ones.

Thanks
Looks like it will bypass us through next week.
South of us may get a tad, but nothing to help.

I just hope those triple-digits stay South. Here, we may have touched 90 today, a light breeze kept it livable.

I mentioned earlier that my truck's air conditioner was having trouble. Well, the blower has quit completely, so I have open windows for cooling--- such as it is. Those big Sprinters can get surprisingly hot inside. (Insert image of man panting like a dog here.) I'll have to invest some money in a new blower motor soon.

It's 87F after midnight, and we're hitting between 103 and 110F for the high of each day. We have a 40% chance of rain over the next several days, and I pray that we get it. All of us need the rain, especially the farmers and ranchers.
