CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I had a dual boot setup with Fedora and Vista on my other laptop. Took a Linux Admin class last semester. I like Linux, but I just don't need it really. I love Windows 7. If I were going to stay in the CIT program I would have kept Fedora though.

I really liked Fedora. I don't remember why, but I ended up going to the first release of Ubuntu, 4.10 (Warty Warthog) way back in the day, and I haven't used another distro since.
I had Win7 on this laptop as well, but there was little use in dual-booting... I never used Windows anymore, so I just got rid of it. I love being able to do everything from the command line, myself.

i was going to bake the cake and then my show came on. so i took the bowl & the large spatula into the living room and sat on the couch. it took 20 minutes to finish it up & after that i drank a glass of water & now i'm all bloated like i'm 4 months pregnant.Were you intending to make a cake and ended up eating the batter instead?

Beautiful Saturday morning here in the sunny south of the US. Headed over to the church for a "clean up" day....if I am a good boy, maybe Father will let me ride the BIG lawnmower!

After landscaping the yard what was once a huge yard to cut is now a much, much more manageable size! But don't worry, there still is enough room to play frisbee with Lambert!

We have a friendly little neighborhood gathering for the Kentucky Derby....it is all innocent fun where we toss a little money into a hat and get a random pick of a horse. I do not casino gamble or play the lotto, but a tad of ribbing among friends is just plain fun!
