We have a friendly little neighborhood gathering for the Kentucky Derby....it is all innocent fun where we toss a little money into a hat and get a random pick of a horse. I do not casino gamble or play the lotto, but a tad of ribbing among friends is just plain fun!

Assignment due on Friday, even the best people at the subject don't know how to do it, we're all meeting tomorrow to try and figure it out. Ugh. On the downside they want me to bring sources and I don't really know where to look...because I don't know how to attack the assignment in the first place. Apparently the lecturer (prof) wants to put certain subjects as prerequisites but doesn't because then even fewer people would do it. I haven't done anything beyond the first year stuff for this course. I'm...not having fun At least next semester my course for this subject is one of the 'pre-requisites' for the one i'm currently doing so I should be ok...UGH.

On the upside Andrew's had the flu really badly this weekend but is feeling better today, yay!

Is that a piece of Turkish Delight (or whatever it is called in Greece)?

I first learned of Turkish Delight when reading C.S. Lewis' the Chronicles of Narnia, specifically The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Whenever it is cold outside, I like to cuddle up and read that book. It is so loaded with references to Holy Scripture.

Now that I have a grandchild on the way, I cannot wait to read those books to her (around 6 years of age).
