Should Revelations be studied?

I know one thing is true... The flood from the evil one has come upon us... It is everywhere, and overtaking us, drowning us in crap, lies, deceptions, which is overwhelming. Current financial conditions has led many to hang onto the life they love, even at the cost of their integrity. Current robes ripped open and exposing our spiritual leaders has led to many confusing and spiritual devastating cracks in the stability of the church foundations and faith for some. The controversies, the conspiracy theories, the inroads of sexual perversion's rights in mainline society, the movements of what is classified 'normal' towards the liberal side of life, the politically correctness of our conscience, the list goes on and on as we look all around us and find no stability .. not even in the interpretation of the Word. The plain just saith the Lord, now takes on new meaning that it never had before. The teachings and convictions, and its applications on our heart of the truth show up in our life, lifestyle, and our community, our country, and the very foundation of the society at large.

Lying, stealing, cheating, and the rest use to be simple and straight forward with a simple black and white.. yes or no.. line of delineation.. now have gone grey and depending on who is saying it, .. as Clinton said, ... so our children now claim.. Yet we all knew he lied .. but got away with it.. on a legal technicality.. so our children will argue for the same rights... and we end up with no defense for what is truly right.

Should revelation be studies... absolutely.. the end result is laid out in a step by step process... as we reap the whirlwind for what we have sown..

I understand what you're saying here. The thing is that God could be trying to talk to you about Revelation, but you'll never find out if you don't get into the book. The prophecy has already been given. We just have to dig deep to understand it, and by the grace of God I can promise you that he'll reveal it.

I'm no prophet, but I can't express how important it is to me to understand the books of Revelation and Daniel.

I am extremely curious why end times events are so important to you? I don't think that end time events have any effect on salvation. I'll admit that end time events are very interesting. They just aren't important to me in my relationship to God. I do think we live in the last days. The new health care passed mandates the implanting of a chip to recieve medical care within 36 months. I am not sure of all the details. Did you ever read a government document. The health care passed is over 1,000 pages and that does not count the references to other documents affecting the new law.

Well I like the idea of being blessed. So I'm good for trying to understand the revelation of Jesus Christ.

So you have all this information what are you doing with it? And what revelance does your quote from Rev 22 have to do with the topic or anything I said?

I'm going to use it just as I do with everything else in the bible. And my quote from revelation 22 has everything to do with this thread since it is a thread on Revelation. As far as how it applies to you directly, You said what does this book have to do with salvation. The provided text show how one can be lost for taking away or adding to the book. Thus I'd like to know what it says so that I won't fall into that category.

Besides that, the book if comforting. I like reading about the new Jerusalem. I like reading about the plagues and God judging the earth and saving His people. I like understanding the prophetic symbols in the book and seeing how they tie back to the book of Daniel. It's all interesting to me, especially when I see how much it is ignored, or counted as unimportant, or misinterpreted.

That is not Jew dependent... that is dependent upon us who have a relationship with the Lord. .. and I include you in the us... for we who have declared that we depend on the Lord for understanding, wisdom, and foreknowledge [before it comes to pass] .. Revelation is alive and good for us. It speaks to our hearts about the overwhelming flood... of sin that so besets us in this generation.. It is good to know that. Think of it as preparation. The events in the book are soon to take place and I don't want to be deceived by not knowing who the beast power of revelation is, or by not knowing what the mark of the beast is and get scared every time I hear about a microscopic chip that is going to be coming out. Some of the youth in my church told me that Revelation scared them and I've been able to, for some part, explain to them clearly what the book is all about.

LLOJ did to which you commented on and I commented on your refutation statement. Maybe I should have said LLOJ quoted Jesus saying It is finished.

I hope this clears up any misunderstanding. So your saying it is not finished disagrees with Jesus' statement. Either you or Jesus is correct. Since both of you can't be right I asked if Jesus was lying combined with a mocking truth statement. Who should I pick?

I won't be here when those tribulation events take place. So I don't need to be prepared for them. I do admit to thinking things are going to get tough in very near future and some people might think it is the tribulation.

Hey since you brought up mark of the beast what do you think it is? Just asking, I will not debate you on this at the moment. I do have an opinion or position, tho.
