  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It seems to me that the commonalities in completely disparate animals would suggest that the Creator (if there were one) was limited in its resources and/or creativity. As previously stated, why would a crocodile have anything at all in common with a bird, or a lemur with a human? Given the notion of an omnipotent (yet apparently limited) Creator, this is yet another hurdle I'd have to overcome in order to believe it.

In other words, since the Bible says God breathed life into mud, it rules out evolution, alien transplantation, or a Matrixesque fictional reality? I suppose we do have a lot in common with mud...
You might want to check the actual Documentation.

There was a lot more involved than that.

God says He created the animals, but when it came to creating man (and woman), He's much more detailed in what He did.

he's also more detailed in how and why He did it, but you choose to ignore those parts of the Bible, limiting yourself to Genesis 1, a fairly generic etiological myth.

If the "Great Physician" has "pwned" evolution, how would you explain the genetic relatedness of birds and crocodiles in relation to other reptiles?
Normally I wouldn't; but if I had to say something, I would make the point that if you take it even further --- right down to the atomic level --- we're all "related".

Look at the Periodic Chart: same ingredients, but the properties are different.

Um ... as was pointed out to me earlier ... Genesis 2, not Genesis 1.

You guys can't stay in Genesis 1, remember?

That requires too much focus and discipline.

They stopped including abiogenesis in with their theory, and washed their hands of it.
That's funny, only ignorant creationist use abiogenesis as an argument. Usually because they don't know the difference.

They are now distancing themselves from the use of the term "macroevolution".
Another outright falsehood. Macroevolution IS evolution.

Why put macro infront of it?

OK let's stay in Gen 1, when God said 'Let there be light' who was he saying it to? or is that just something the guy who wrote the tale thought a God might say in order to make the light appear? also, the guy who wrote the tale thought that the God would think 'it was good', no one else.

I mentioned in one of my posts that I recently read an article about a tooth being fabricated into a wonderful discovery for an evolutionist until a jawbone was discovered that ruined the illusion. I was challenged to produce that article, so here it is:

Exposing the Evolutionist’s Sleight-of-Hand With the Fossil Record

I'll post the URL again separately just to make sure that everyone gets it.

The Great Fossil Illusion

You'll notice pretty quickly that I did read exactly what I said that I did. The tooth did stand as a great evolutionary discovery for 20 years until a jawbone was discovered that debunked the fraud. You can read about many other gross errors and frauds by evolutionists in this article, so read it carefully. When you finish this article, please go back to the main site and read some more. The site is appropriately named and does much to expose the gross errors, imaginative fabrications, frauds and hoaxes of evolutionists. Many people prefer truth over fairy tales.

Evolution runs on the No True Scotsman Principle: if it's right, it's evolution; if it's wrong, it's not evolution.

Because of that, you can almost predict what they are going to say in response.

Whomever wrote the lies on that linked page isn't going to heaven, that's for sure. That's about as serious a breaking of the ninth commandment as I've ever seen.

How can you live with yourself AV1611VET? you are the biggest fraud here and you know it, you will pick on anything true or false and twist it until it fits in with your way of thinking, talk about living a lie, every other word out of your mouth is a lie, you must be completely besotted with yourself.
If what you have is religion I am truly truly pleased I was not given a religion like yours, you are nothing but a tangled mess.

You might not like or appreciate the truth, but that doesn't change the truth or make it go away. It would be an impossible task to refute it.

And evolution is the truth. Refuting the countless studies that support the theory is probably quite impossible.

Yes, because you can trust creation propaganda sites.

Seriously, provide links to a reputable source. Peer reviewed papers, etc. Not creationist propaganda sites, that twist facts, make up figures, and just flat out lie, all to advance their own religious adgenda, by spewing out so many PRATTs that they hope some stupid mug will fall for it.

Seriously.

Peer reviewed papers on the physical evidence that falsifies evolution or fail.

Shrug it off as much as you like, Hangback couldn't've hit the nail on the head any harder without splitting the wood.

As for "Evolution being based on no true Scotsmen", lulz. Once again, Av demonstrating his complete lack of understanding towards evolution or science.

Isn't it every single denomination of Christianity that says "My version and interpretation of the Bible is the one true one. Everyone else's is wrong, so they're not really Christians."?

Tell me, Av, what are you going to display your total lack of knowledge in next?

Good --- since you're saying I'm wrong about No True Scotsman, are you saying that there are True Scotsmen in evolution?

Yes, there are, men who were born and raised in Scotland.

See, I can totally miss the point of your post, too!

Evolution runs on the No True Scotsman Principle: if it's right, it's evolution; if it's wrong, it's not evolution.

You're really good at showing us how little you understand about... well... anything.

try "If it's right, God did it; if it's wrong God still did it, but made it that way."

No. If science predicts something, then that prediction was wrong, then that's not gonna falsify the whole theory, unless it was something seriously major. You forget, science doesn't work like your religion. Science runs on logic, evidence and procedure. Not faith, ignorance and unhealthy fanaticism.
