It seems to me that the commonalities in completely disparate animals would suggest that the Creator (if there were one) was limited in its resources and/or creativity. As previously stated, why would a crocodile have anything at all in common with a bird, or a lemur with a human? Given the notion of an omnipotent (yet apparently limited) Creator, this is yet another hurdle I'd have to overcome in order to believe it.
