in any case, i'm not christian but isn't this one of the things that the church is supposed to be for, rehabilitating people like this?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We have to take it to God. For anyone would subject their opinion or justice on evil!
1) molesters, child molesters methodically warm their way up to parents to get at their children 2) Child molesters destroy the family, more than one person! 3) who can trust them?
Maybe if we tattooed the sentence on their foreheads. Then we visibly can know who they are and cut off their pleasure sensory!
I can't see anyone lower on the TRUST factor!

Even if you cut off a mans penis and testicles he will still want to psychologically have sex so it wont stop him if he is a child molester, it will only stop him from having outright sex when children.

Have you ever looked evil in the eye's? I think premeditated sexual assaults on children is worse than murder!
Some lines should never be crossed without consequences!
Also I know: "live by the sword die by the sword" b&wpa4+
Ideas and action have consequences. I can live with knowing other children will be safe!

Exactly! Why is the dichotomy having a paedophile living with kids or executing them?
Also, chemical castration, AFAIK, can eliminate sexual urges. Not that I'm supporting (or condemning) that...just saying the "chop it off" approach isn't the only option.

Yes. Any assault is terrible. Lines should not be crossed, especially murder.
For every action there is a reaction. Are you ready to be the judge? If one of your own children commit an act of child molestation, will you still be so quick to shout for death? Will you kill your own child?

It's been a few years since I've read the Gospels properly or been to Church, but I'm fairly certain the point of that verse is that violence breeds violence and we should therefore reject it.

Anyone thinks that having child molesters running around unknown savagely terrorizing the sanctity of children. Is throwing stones at the children themselves. Are part of the problem!
Molesters are bulls in a china cabinet! This has personally effected my family and I imagine many others in here as well!
Logically who can't trust them and with the laws now we consecrate them in local community's!

My Cousin should be executed for molesting my sister and his sister, also my cousins husband for molesting his 5 children!
And we don't know how many more they savagely raped and mentally abused or scared! So yes even my own! Wrong is wrong!
We where betrayed "ALL" of us! They betrayed our trust!
Another reminder this is premeditated!
