  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is it too far?

Look man these rapes will effect generations and it's proven they always do it again!

It is not. You should not make things up to justify your anger.

Most of them think they aren't doing anything wrong,

Also incorrect.

also don't judge me until you walk in my shoes.

You are doing just that to the accused.

In my family we know the devastation!

This still does not give you special standing to espouse the extreme positions without criticism.

For premeditated murder you lose your life. In death or in prison! This is on logical thinking towards premeditated child rape. We can trust them, nor can we ever. My friends daughters coach raped her and had an affair with his wife! I have no sympathy or patience for these sick'os. They are predators! Ravaging our innocent and weak willed!

The sin is, of course, evil. Some of them are truly predators. It's unfortunate that you have no sympathy any of them.

Look all the known data show they do it over and over again, also the death sentence is for the worst known premeditated child molesters> like mutilated 18 month old babies!
Some crimes need high consequence guy's! Sexual immorality is destroying this nation! There isn't one person not effected by divorce, rape, prostitution, sex trafficking, porn and so on!

Glad to see you are thinking this though rationally and not giving into pure emotionalism.

I haven't made anything up. My cousin raped his sister then, she, with a screwed up sense about sex. Married a sex monster and so my cousin husband raped their children. Know after all he went to prison 2-5 yrs, but my cousin got into drugs and pimped out her child for prostitution and her daughter was 11 and you say it wont effect anymore generations??????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Are you arrogant!

Well, let's see:
it's proven they always do it again!

You made that up.

That situation is deplorable. However it doesn't happen in every case, nor does it happen in most.
Are you arrogant!
Is that a question?

Allowing him at church is fine, leading a youth group is not, too much possible temptation. It's rare to be completely alone with children at church anyway as an attender for the most part. I would just watch and make sure he's not around them alone but deny someone from church? Never, ever.

What about protecting them children? Forgiveness is one I can and have done, but that doesn't change their behavior or the trust factor!
As I have stated I or you can't know their hearts only God can, so we must be proactive towards protecting the helpless, however; in my opinion they deserve life in prison or even death depending on the severity of the crime. For molesting is premeditated!
Make harsh justice and the rest of the pedophiles will think twice:thumbsup: or you have them all moving to the state Vermont for the lean-yet verdicts!

This is just a sensitive subject - and it should be treated as so. I'm sorry so much of your life has been affected by this horrible subject, and the poster who said everyone has been affected someway by sex depravity (not sure if it was you or someone else) is correct. Many people believe molesters should get life in prison. But, some do not and when released if they want to go to church, this is the topic of the thread. I agree not to let them alone with children, but if they have served their time and wish to seek God and the church, we as Christians really can't close the door, saying they don't deserve fellowship in church, as I sense God wants all who seek christian fellowship and Him to receive it.

It's a terrible thing to happen to anyone, and it sounds like nobody in your family got the help they needed, however you don't get to decide who is forgiven or not forgiven. Someone charged with a crime is in need of the same hope as anyone else, the same Christ as anyone else. They should be able to seek God and worship with believers. Nobody here has suggested no punishment is due the criminal.

Is the child who was injured in this example somehow not injured if their abuser is not given the opportunity for redemption?
