Hey Guys, I am glad someone started this thread. I went to see this move on Friday and wished I hadn't. I was pretty slow; but more importantly it left me with a really bad feeling leaving the theater. I've never cared one bit about any movie like this (ghosts, etc.) but this one for some reason seemed to accurately portray (minus the lame ending) what it must be like to be tormented.

I am a Christian and believe God in me is greater than anything in this world or outside it. I'm not sure why but I have been having a hard time sleeping since I saw this. Just creeped out that one of my doors is going to swing closed by itself etc. Sounds ridiculous I know.

As Christians I'd stay away from this one. I'd rather watch Saw alone, in an abandoned building than this again. Hopefully I can stop being a baby and get over this. It must have been shot well to leave such a lingering effect.

I think I have posted my opinion twice on PA. Not worth the money unless you go matinee. I only paid 6 bucks to see it with my brother since my husband said no way. Look,it is really not as awesome as the numbers are showng. I cannot believe how packed it was,yet afterwards most everyone was like..hmmmmmmmm. Just nothing great but it did give me a nightmare about my dead grandma. Also, strange things are happening to movie goers that see this. I am one of them. I think we need to NOT make films like this.

It seems to have played a great ploy.
"Paranormal activity now showing in some theaters, not in yours, let theaters know you want to see it."
Boom, they are in alot of theaters, than it must be good.

My expectations, that this movie plays like a ghost story on a camping trip. Kind of like the ghost hunter shows, the people get worked up about the possiblity of a ghost, they begin to see and hear things, that no one at home notice.

$15k, they will make millions, just because the viewing audience is starving for good entertainment this year.
Will I see it at a theater? no. Even dollar theaters would be to expensive(popcorn and a drink expensive.)

I watched this movie on DVD on the day it was released. My sister had seen it in the theaters and she really wanted us to see it cause she thought it was good, i.e. very scary. Well, I sat there in the chair and cringed at every F Word. Honestly I did not find it scary, laughed a little bit in fact. The stuff that offended me most though was the language, just entirely inappropriate and unneeded, it was very un-Christian. As Christians we are not supposed to just tune that stuff out, we should walk out of the theaters when we see stuff like that. If they had taken out the language, it would have been a decent movie.

the 2 actors were on jay leno show last night and they were paid only $500 each for their work making PA!

They really got done in. This movie wasnt scary to me at all. but the girl I went with found it terrifying. So, I guess it all depends on what you find scary.
