  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I saw it and I was hoping it'd be scary but it really wasn't. I actually laughed through most of it and I've seen it a couple times. There was one part where I didn't so much get freaked out but had one of those laughing "holy cow" moments where I know if I'd been in the theater everybody would have gotten terrified but I would have laughed. From a campy standpoint, I thought it was hilarious but as a scary movie I must be totally jaded since it wasn't even a little scary.

I will throw out there that I liked the alternate ending far more than the theater ending. It seemed to fit with the movie more.

On a totally unrelated note, this movie showed why I'd never be a good documentary star on subject matter like this. The first odd thing that happened I'd be gone and the documentary would be 5 minutes long and finished with a shot of my butt going out the door at lightning speed.

Saw it over the weekend,
glad I only paid rental price.
I decided to maybe see it on dvd,I hear it is like Blair Witch P in the way it is filmed and has no sense.
It makes sense, just not entertaining, bad acting,
lame lines: "I just want to know all the options"
nothing he did showed any options, he just did stuff to play to the audience.
During the whole movie, the only time I even jumped was the original ending, when the guy hit the camera. That wasn't fear, just wasn't expecting it.
No where near the movie they hyped it up to be.

It's probably best the woman was never seen again, she is probably ashamed of how bad this movie was.

My husband and I frequent the scary movie scene...We rented this one a few weeks ago and it terrified both of us!

My husband can take scary movies much better than myself, but at one point in the movie he got really freaked out and wanted to turn it off. We kept watching and finished the movie.

That night when we went to bed, at one point my husband rolled over an put his arm around me, I jumped and gasped.

I probably wouldn't have liked it in the theater (this is an old movie and thread I know) but the hand held camera would have annoyed me. But part of the reason it was so scary on my home tv was because it felt like I was watching a Youtube video so it felt more real.

Definitely a freak out movie. Oh and we also watched it without knowing anything about it. So the unexpected made it even more creepy.

I really enjoyed it, I like it when a horror movie actually scares me, so many "horror" movies nowadays are purely based around scare tactics, or as I like to call them "boo" techniques. Horror movies are supposed to get inside your mind, and mess you around a bit. 8/10 overall.

I've heard more bad than good about this movie and unless I can borrow it from someone else I'm not going to bother buying/renting it to watch it.

I bought it for my fiance' for Christmas as a small gift from my daughter...we enjoyed it. It wasn't great, it didn't terrify me, but ghost movies are the only ones that scare me and I did have a few jump moments. We bought the second one and agree that we like the first one better.

I haven't finished reading the reviews. Look up Sleep Paralyzation. I am a sufferer from that. I haven't had some of the worse symptoms, but that movie extremely accurately portrays what some people are going through.

I find it DISGUSTING. Mine turned out to be just a sleeping disorder... but it doesn't help everywhere you turn.. someone tells you are possessed.

I think the Devil is bothering some people.

Also... I find it digusting that on FB... everyone is liking "That Awkward Moment when the demon from Paranormal Activity grabs your leg."

I hate that... so in response to help people from having nightmares...

"For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken." Proverbs 3:26
