Pray that they fully recover. I just found out tonight. I'm stunned. Be careful people. From what I hear from the Dr. in ER this is not over & nothing to shrug off.

I heard the same thing on the news. They reported that officials are expecting an increase come Sept when school is back in session.

They are expecting an increase everywhere from what I understand. We've had several in the state die from it already.

They were vacationing in FL. & came back sick. It rapidly progressed & had to be rushed to the hospital.

Oh I am so sorry they are in my prayers along with anyone else who has been affected by this disease, it is very frightening, I remember when I was younger I would read books about all the diseases that killed people years ago and my mom always told me we had better doctors now so we were safe from those same things but then the swine flu comes along and gives us such a helpless feeling.

The high school where I'm employed (daughter is a student) was shut down for a few days in May due to a H1N1 outbreak.

But let's keep this in perspective, most people recover from this flu without requiring any medical treatment.
Just follow the proper precautions and stay home if you are sick.

I will put them in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

The head honchos of the hospital keep employees informed of this epidemic weekly. And stress that we still need to take every precaution measure.

Week before last, they were turning patients away for surgeries that needed the ECHMO machine, which is a heart/lung bypass machine. Reason being because they did not have any units available, they were all in use on the patients that had the swine flu.

Some may not understand how serious this flue is.... The ECHMO machine is used on patients that are so critically ill that they are near deaths door. Their heart and lungs are so ill that they need the bypass machine to let them take a rest, just to try and heal. Thats why the medical communities and CDC made such a big deal over this flu. I didn't understand at first, but after being educated from my employer, I sure do now.
