CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

given you did say this example, but then you referred to the entire Illiad, in which case you you're not being entirely accurate.

but ok, i'll admit, the most of this is aimed to the "prophetic proof" in the bible, but you also seem to forget that the Illaid contains a wee bit of prophecy aswell. and that most prophecy can be intepreted very "widely".

Like I tell those who think prophecy is nothing more than retrofitting the Old Testament:
Anyone and their brother can read a verse of prophecy and then go out of their way to look like they fulfilled it.
The real trick is preventing it from happening.
Had the return of Israel to their homeland in 1949 not come as fulfillment of prophecy, then they would never have survived the Six Day and Yom Kippur wars.
In addition, are you suggesting that Israel is yet to go into another Diaspora --- so that the true prophecies can be fulfilled?

It would be one thing if the Bible said specifically that Israel would ONLY prevail through their own military might; but it doesn't. So this point you keep trying to use is moot. The Bible says that God would cause Israel to prevail, not Israel's military strength

The United States of America was founded by God for two major reasons:
- To give the Jews a place to live prior to WW2.*
- To support Israel after WW2.
