CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS - my brother (who recently has adopted some rather...wacko beliefs) just called me and said, "My wife made me call you. I just wanted you to know I don't observe birthdays anymore, cause they have pagan origins. So I'm not snubbing, I'm just letting you know that I will not be honoring your birthday."

It must be really difficult to avoid all things pagan, considering many of our current holidays/traditions/symbols/etc. stem from paganism.

IJWTS that I keep having the same dream over and over, about me driving too fast and losing control of a car and it goes over a cliff and I feel this huge impending sense of doom. I literally wake myself up from the dream inside the dream itself-telling myself-this is just a dream. Anyway I did that in my dream last night and the person next to me in the car said-"This is real! This is not a dream" And then I woke up. Dream interpretation anyone? :end rambling thoughts:

IJWTS - While jogging around a local lake, I noticed a large grayish dog-like animal. It was curled up next to the path, and appeared to be either asleep or dead. It was a bit large for a coyote, so think it might have been a red wolf.

IJWTS - While jogging around a local lake, I noticed a large grayish dog-like animal. It was curled up next to the path, and appeared to be either asleep or dead. It was a bit large for a coyote, so think it might have been a red wolf.
IJWTS it's beautiful...but, umm...is that normal to see one of those in the park around people??
