Listen to what Tonks has said. CF will not be creating a list of sins for you.

Listen to what I am saying: Use a list of sins for your own edification if necessary. Tend to your own eyes and the forests therein. Do not attempt to enlist CF Staff in a campaign of your own devising.

The Symbol is a good standard. I think I posted once that if you use anything else, you have about a 99% chance of falling into heresy.

What is important is what Staff does with that standard.

If there is anyone on Staff I trust to say what he means and do what he says, it's Tonks. He may be brusque and prone to headaches, but his most important characteristic in this context is that he is honest.

I do not want CF to get into legalism within Christianity. I believe we are going in the right direction. Truth is often prevented if Christianity is known as a legalistic system which cause a delusion of eternal life.

I am so thankful that we still adhere to a Christian Creed. Some do not agree, some do. Face it, we will not fit everyone, and everyone will not fit to CF.

Many have left becuz they're ignored - and so far, they continue
to be today. Who knows how long people will put up with it or just
stay huddled up in their little safe havens so they can find
some agreement w/ a few that are still at CF.

why is finding agreement with others supposed to be the primary goal of a MESSAGE BOARD? There ARE safe houses, but the other areas ought to be as wide open as possible--UNITING ALL CHRISTIANS used to means something around here.

Again, this is a great move towards where it should be, but
what exactly changes is left to be seen. Frankly I'm tired
of what's allowed under a Christian banner here, but
that seems to be the way they want it.

And THIS is why going back to forcing certain beliefs in order to post in CO areas is a bad idea. having a Statement of Faith is a good thing, forcing others to hold to it to be counted as Christian is not.
