OH and Michael - you said

it's Scots and I truly wish I spoke decent French - mine is more Swiss than it should be and my grammar is truly horrible - but I've never yet been stuck - even at DL

I hate to admit this, but all I know how to do is swear in French. That and I can say "Je ne parle pas Francaise, Je parle l'Allegmagne."

I was rather stunned though one day after Reading the Epistle in French, to be congratulated on my pronunciation by 2 Parisians [ genuinely Parisian too - depsite being in the Ukie Church they weren't Ukes and indeed were RC ]

Anhelyna, I might be able to swear in French, but I can't for the life of me spell any of the words! Who taught the French how to spell? I would rather do differential equations than spell French, and I HATE MATH!!!

I think you would be happy down in the Pyrenees - there the French tends to be spoken as it is written It does make spelling it a bit easier

Oh and I'm talking about French not Occitan - that's something I can't cope with at all
